'Thanking God', Anusha Dandekar Seemingly Reacts To Ex, Karan Kundrra Proposing To Tejasswi Prakash

Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash are going through one of the best phases of their lives. For those unaware, the beloved television couple got engaged during the recent episode of their new reality show, Desi Bling. While the duo had previously sparked marriage rumours a number of times, this time, fans' prayers have finally been answered. Now, amid the buzz, it seems that Karan's ex-girlfriend and model, Anusha Dandekar, has allegedly reacted to his proposal to Tejasswi. 

Anusha Dandekar shares cryptic post 

Karan Kundrra surprised everyone in the latest episode of Desi Bling, which is the spin-off of the hit show, Dubai Bling, by proposing to his ladylove, Tejasswi Prakash, with a huge diamond ring. Soon after the episode aired, social media became flooded with images and clips of the proposal. However, what caught everyone's attention was that within a few hours, Karan's ex-girlfriend, Anusha Dandekar, took to her Instagram Stories to share a cryptic post. In it, she wrote, “I am thanking God. #iykyk,” followed by a prayer hand emoji. 

Although, Anusha did not explicitly mention who her post was directed at, several Reddit users have been speculating that her IG Story was a response to Karan and Tejasswi getting engaged. For instance, one user wrote, “You may not like the couple, but for you to literally do this on their day is so low.” Another penned, “Anusha needs to move on. Holding onto the same bitterness for that long is just exhausting to watch.” A third comment read, “Why is she seriously so obsessed with Karan?” 

For those unaware, Karan Kundrra and Anusha were together for almost three and a half years before they split up in 2020. The duo co-hosted the hit reality show, MTV Love School, from 2016 to 2019. On the show, together, they used to help couples overcome their differences. After Karan and Anusha parted ways, during the 2021 Ask Me Anything session, the latter was asked to give a “direct reason” for the breakup. To this, Anusha replied, “We deserve more honesty, love, and happiness…and it starts with self-love. So, I chose me. That's it.” It is worth noting that previously, Anusha had suggested that Karan had cheated on her and also lied to her, accusations which he then went on to deny.

For those who missed it, Karan Kundrra took the help of his Desi Bling castmates, Rizwan Sajan, Satish Sanpal, Adel Sajan, Dyuti Parruk, Janvee Gaur, Sana Sajan, Lailli Mirza, Alizey Mirza, Tabina Sanpal, Pamela Serena and Iryna Kinakh, to plan the grand proposal for Tejasswi. The moment Tejasswi walked into the lavishly decorated venue, she appeared stoked and surprised to see the illuminated words, “Will you marry me?” across the water.

Soon, Karan got down on one knee and said to her in Punjabi, “Tejasswi Prakash, will you marry me?” The actress got super emotional and said that she couldn't stop shivering. Recalling the times when people would judge their relationship in their early days, she said:

“Jab hum mile the, toh bahut kuch hua tha… Jab hum bahar aaye, sab ne kaha tha ki yeh toh 2 hafte nahi tikenge. Kisi ne kaha tha main fake hu; kisi ne kaha tu fake hai. It’s been four years; we’ve seen everything, and we’ve been through everything.”

The atmosphere turned even more emotional when Karan laid his heart bare in a speech. He talked about his bond with Tejasswi and how it influenced his worldview on romance and lifelong fidelity. Karan said:

“‘Imperfectly perfect love story’, yeh tune hi term diya tha. Every year that I spent with you, it has changed the meaning of love for me. I never thought I would ever fall in love or commit. I want to thank you for bringing out the man in me, the man who has the guts to say, ‘This is it. It’s now and forever.’”
