Teejay Sidhu Shares A Photo With Three Daughters, Wonders Only The Birth Of A Boy Completes A Family

Why is it considered that to complete a family, a couple must have both, a boy and a girl in their lives? Why is a woman expected or forced to take multiple tries till the time she gets pregnant with a baby boy or delivers a baby boy? What is this obsession with having at least one boy to complete our family? Well, we are living in modern times, yet some thoughts and approaches that we follow are too regressive that it can sometimes hamper our mental peace. Karanvir Bohra and Teejay Sidhu might be feeling the trauma as the couple has three daughters and are often asked by troll if they plan to have a baby boy as well. (Also Read: Kareena Kapoor To Deliver Baby Anytime Soon, Karisma, Babita Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan Visit Her)

Karanvir Bohra and Teejay Sidhu had hopped on the journey of parenthood after ten-years of living their 'happily ever after'. The duo had embraced parenthood journey on November 19, 2016, in Vancouver, Canada as they were blessed with two baby girls, whom they have named, Bella and Vienna. The couple was blessed with their third daughter on December 16, 2020, and had announced the same on December 21, 2020. For the couple, their family is complete with their three daughters, however, something has bothered Teejay as she expressed if the couple needs a baby boy to complete their family.

Taking to her IG handle a few hours ago, Teejay shared a family picture with her husband, Karanvir Bohra, and their three daughters, Bella, Vienna and Gia in it to celebrate the family day. Sharing the picture, Teejay mentioned how a comment on her friend’s baby arrival post triggered her as she was blessed with a baby boy and people congratulated her to have her family completed now. She wrote, “Feb 15th was #FamilyDay and of course my post is late, as usual! I wanted to share something.. Recently, someone I know had a baby boy. (They already had a girl.) Someone else I know commented, 'Congrats, NOW your family is complete!'”

Teejay further mentioned that if a couple is blessed with a baby girl, is their family not complete? Sharing that a child’s gender should not determine a family’s completeness, she added, “That left me a little disappointed. Is a family only 'complete' when you have a boy? Suppose that person had another girl. Would that mean their family was 'incomplete?' Even having just one child is such a #blessing! How many you have after that, or what gender, shouldn't determine your 'completeness.'" (Must Read: Bigg Boss 14: Rakhi Sawant Hasn't Met Her Husband For The Last 2 Years, Calls Their Marriage 'Jhol')

She concluded her note with how complete she feels because of the joy her family brings into her life. She wrote, “I'm sure the comment was not meant to be offensive. (Maybe they meant now there was one of each? In that case, the intention could've been expressed more clearly.) I just feel as a younger generation, we need to be more responsible with the thoughts/ideas we put out there. Let's teach others to celebrate #family. For me, the joy that #family brings me is what completes me.”

Earlier in an interview with The Times Of India, Karanvir had shared his thoughts on having three daughters. The actor had stated that he was trolled for having a third baby and some netizens had claimed that they were actually trying for a boy. Karanvir had said, "We have twin girls and we never thought ki ek beta bhi hona chahiye. We only wanted a healthy baby. People used to say, ‘Ek beta aur ho jaaye toh family complete ho jayegi’. Although I come from a conservative background and am a boy myself, I never had any preference about the gender of my child. Even if we had a boy, he would have got the same love. I have never differentiated between a boy and a girl. Our three girls are like our Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvati and God has chosen us to take care of these angels." (Don't Miss: Riteish Deshmukh's 'Yawn Sambandh' With Baiko, Genelia Deshmukh Will Break You Into Fits Of Giggles)
