Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift had their honeymoon in Laguna, California, following their wedding. A few days after the honeymoon, Kelce had to move back in order to train with his Kansas City Chiefs teammates. Following that, in August 2026, sources revealed to the Daily Mail that Taylor was reportedly 'frustrated' with this, and also with the fact that football is taking way too much of her husband's time, which led to them not seeing each other for a long time, as she would like to spend more time with her husband.
According to the sources, the couple doesn't see each other every day, but they meet weekly and stay connected via texts, calls, and FaceTime when they are not together. The source further added that Taylor doesn't complain to Travis about his absence, as she had known from the beginning what she was signing up for, including his busy schedule and short honeymoon.
As of September 2026, reports revealed that it has been a bit 'harder' on Taylor Swift now that they are married. Sources revealed to the Daily Mail that the singer 'has struggled' because of the absence of the NFL star, who is extremely busy with his upcoming NFL season.
The source also shared that, as Taylor is now married to Travis, it's only understandable that she would want to spend more quality time with her husband, which hasn't happened, making it a bit 'hard' for her. The source could be quoted as saying:
"It's harder now that they are married because she wants more, for sure. It is understandable. They have been married almost two months, but she has not seen him a ton. She misses their morning workout sessions and cooking together. She loves having her hunky man by her side, holding her hand and opening doors for her, watching out for her. He makes her feel not just loved, but also protected. She is so madly in love that she wants to spend more time with Travis."
Hollywood insider reveals that Taylor Swift doesn't want to move to Kansas City
On the other hand, Hollywood insider Rob Shuter spoke on The Nerve with Maureen Callahan and revealed that Swift will not be in Kansas City. Speaking further on the same, Shuter also claimed that Swift, who doesn't have any high-profile projects right now, is having a good time in NYC and LA.
Rob shared that Shuter has no plans to be around Kansas City, while Travis is locked in for one year with his demanding career right now. Stating that this year might bring new challenges for the couple, the insider said:
"I think this year is going to be challenging for them and I hope they make it. He’s done after this, this is not happening again. He’s locked down for a year and she doesn’t want to be there. She’s having a great time in London, she’s been in New York, we saw her in LA. She’s hanging with her friends. It’s tricky."
