Emraan Hashmi is all over India, courtesy of his back-to-back releases and his roles in it. After the success of his film, Haq opposite Yami Gautam, Emraan is playing an important character in the Netflix web series, Taskaree. The crime drama has gained a lot of traction and fans are already anticipating if there would be a second season of the show.
The film is about Superintendent, 'Arjun Meena', played by Emraan Hashmi. He is known as a clever custom inspector. The high-stake crime drama set in the busy Mumbai Internationa airport, gives a glimse of how important the job is for the nation's saftely. In the film he has a face off against the vicious leader, 'Baba Chaudhary', played by Sharad Kelkar. The web series is receiving a lot of love already, but there is no official confirmation if it will be renewed for another season. However, it seems like the chances are high that there will be a second part of Emraan Hashmi-led crime drama.

Neeraj Panday and Raghav M Jairath's Netflix series, Taskaree: The Smuggler's Web is set against he backdrop of high-end airport, and a fight against the high-profile smugglers. It is made on a massive budget and some picturesque sceneeries. It started with a chasing scene between a woman named Swati and nefarious Afro delinquents. That's when 'Arjun Meena' takes a heroic entry. He hands her over to her boss and takes Rs. 50 lakh in cash from him as a token of bribe.

However, 'Arjun Meena', the corrupt custom officer, gets an awakening when he gets a call from the department that they want to revoke his suspension. A new charge 'ACP Prakash Kumar' wants 'Arjun Meena' and his suspended teammeates to be back on duty so that they can stop smuggling which is led by 'Bada Choudhary', who is the leader of the infamous Choudhary Syndicate.

'Swati' is a 'popat', a term for a courier and works with 'Bada Choudhary'. He stays in Italy and has an office in Bangkok, Addis Ababa and AI Dera. They are known for smuggling of luxury watches, coc***e and gold plates. Not only this there is whole gang which includes pilots, airhostesses and custom officials who work with him. So, busting his circle is not easy for 'Arjun Meena'. Hence, they need 'Arjun Meena' and his subordinates to get hold of the gang.

The entire series is unpredictable and keeps you on your toes as till the end one cannot predict who is an informer and who's working silently with 'Baba' for crores of money as rewards. This fun of unpredictable scenes makes Taskaree different from the rest of the show. It is a seven-episode series with a lot of action, double timelines, split narratives and conspiracies.
