Tanishaa Mukerji, daughter to late Shome Mukherjee and veteran actress, Tanuja had also marked her presence in Bollywood like her elder sister, Kajol. She had made her debut in Bollywood with the film, Sssshhh... in 2003. Later, she had also worked in a few prominent films like Neal 'n' Nikki, Sarkar and Sarkar Raj. Apart from acting, Tanishaa had also participated in reality shows like Bigg Boss 7 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7.
Over the years, Tanishaa's name has been linked with many actors in alleged relationships. A few days back, she was in the headlines because of her secret wedding rumours that had sparked from her IG post featuring toe-rings. On January 3, 2022, Tanishaa had shared a series of pictures from her trip to Goa and in one of them, she had posted a photo of her feet featuring toe rings, which had ignited the speculations of her secret wedding as a toe ring is the symbol of a married woman in Hindu culture.
Tanishaa was not aware of the conjectures that started from her post as she was in a no-network area. Now, the actress has cleared the air and shed some light on the speculations. She shared in an interview with Hindustan Times:
"I like wearing toe rings and I thought it looked good. That's why, I took a picture and posted it. There's nothing more to it. Do I need to justify my fashion sense to people?"
Talking about her wedding plans, the former Bigg Boss contestant shared her thoughts and said that it is on her mind. Tanishaa mentioned:
“Of course, everybody thinks about it. My dream wedding keeps changing till I find the dream man to get married. I’m not breaking all the hearts yet. If and when I tie the knot, I will let the world know it. I’m not a quiet person. It’ll (the wedding) be a fanfare.”
Talking further about her dream man, Tanishaa revealed in the conversation:
“The whole world knows that I’m single. There’s no need to keep it ambiguous. And I’m happy being single.”
In an old interview with ETimes TV, Tanishaa had talked about freezing her eggs when she was 39. She had said:
"I wanted to freeze my eggs at the age of 33! At that time, when I went to my doctor (who finally froze my eggs now), it is funny but she stopped me from doing so at that time. While she told me it takes a toll on your body, she advised I should do it when I have no hope of conceiving a baby. It’s a personal choice. And today, it is perfectly ok to not have children. Adopt, there’s enough in this world."
Further adding to the conversation, Tanishaa had spoken about why it is okay to not have children and not get married. She had shared:
"More people need to go out and talk about this. It’s ok for women to not have children. That’s not the only calling in your life. It’s ok to not get married, not be in a relationship and not define yourself with a man beside you. Back in the days, my grandmother and women those days didn’t define themselves with the man. We have gone wrong somewhere in the middle. My grandmother was a strong, amazing personality, who never defined herself with a man."
Now, we are eagerly waiting for the wedding news from Tanishaa Mukerji!
