Tamannaah Bhatia Reveals How Online Hate Took A Toll On Her: 'It Took Me By A Storm And I Was...'

Tamannaah Bhatia is one of the most beautiful and talented actresses in the entertainment industry. There's no doubt that she is a pan-India star as she has carved her name in Bollywood as well as Tollywood. The diva rules over millions of hearts by giving blockbuster performances in popular films like Lust Stories 2, Baahubali: The Beginning, Babli Bouncer, Entertainment, Racha, Badrinath, Devi, Action and many more. With all the love and admiration, there comes a lot of judgements and hatred from the internet users, which Tamannaah had faced in her career. And now, she opened up about the same.

In a candid conversation with author, Luke Coutinho, Tamannaah Bhatia opened up about receiving hate on social media. For the unversed, the actress has co-authored a book called Back To The Roots: Celebrating Indian Wisdom and Wellness (2021). Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that when she first came across trolling, it took a toll on her. Adding that she started questioning herself, Tamannaah said:

"In this journey, there comes a time for everyone, when there is a lot of hate directed towards you and inevitably on social media because it is mostly faceless people literally writing anything they feel like about you, which can be really nasty. For me, when that happened to me for the first moment, it took me by a storm and I was very uncomfortable with it because it really made me feel like what's going on? Is something that I have done gone wrong?"

Further, in the same conversation, Tamannaah revealed that later, she understood that people who used to troll her were actually projecting their own thoughts on her. Mentioning that people expect actors to be an idealistic version, she said:

"When I spent some time on my own, I literally asked myself 'Where do you think this comes from?' Sometimes there is a lot of moral policing people do, not realising that you are an actor, you are a performer and they expect you to be an idealistic version of something that is ideal in their way, in their head. So it is not necessary that what they are projecting towards you is about you, it's actually about them."

Tamannaah also mentioned that she focuses on what she wants to be and not what people want her to be. The gorgeousness added that the people who direct hate towards her or troll her have never been part of her journey or lived her life, so now, she doesn't focus on what they think about her.
