Just when Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan had headed off for a work-cum-leisure trip to Tuscany and London with their little munchkin, Taimur Ali Khan, we had realised how dull our lives are without baby Tim on our social media feeds. Then when after two months, the Kapoor-Pataudi trio came back to Mumbai, our happiness knew no bounds and the festive season became even merrier with Taimur spreading his charm. Every move of Taimur becomes a headline, be it him strolling with his parents, playdate with his cousin or hanging around in the park. The memory of Taimur Ali Khan correcting the paparazzi to call him by his nickname instead of Taimur still rings fresh in our minds. For us, he might be a muffin, goofball, cutie-patootie, munchkin, cheesecake, or anything we wish to call him, but the little one wanted the paparazzi to address him as Tim. After a series of videos wherein Taimur greats his media friends with ‘hi’ and ‘bye’, a video of him correcting paparazzi by saying, 'It is Tim' when they call him as ‘Taimur’, had made our hearts flutter. Hearing Taimur say these words were indeed a treat to our ears, and we had watched the video on loop.
It now seems like an understatement when we say that Taimur Ali Khan has not only overshadowed his parents, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s stardom, but also his star family of Kapoors and Pataudis as well. Though it feels like just yesterday when Saif and Kareena had posed with their newborn son at the balcony of their residence, time did fly with a blink of an eye and now we have videos of Taimur speaking proper sentences.
On August 24, 2019, the nation had celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna with a special Dahi Handi ritual, to mark the naughtiness and innocence of Baal Gopal. And B-town’s Kanhaiya, Taimur Ali Khan had too, celebrated the festival of Janmashtami by participating in the Dahi Handi that had taken place at his playground. An elated, Taimur sat on a man’s shoulders and had tried to reach out for the handi, but the colourful balloons distracted him. In another video that emerged from the Dahi Handi celebrations, we can hear Taimur saying, “I want to hold it in my hand”, after he gets down from the man’s shoulders. Check it out:
Isn’t it adorable? There have been multiple videos and pictures of Kareena Kapoor Khan, indulging in her workout routine that had gone viral on social media. But, her latest one with Taimur Ali Khan too, in the frame had grabbed our attention. As Bebo rigorously practices her yoga routine at her home, the little one sits on the treadmill by her side and adorably watches her doing her Surya Namaskar. Taimur undoubtedly steals the limelight from Kareena, and his cute expressions made us confused over whom to look. Veer debutante, Zareen Khan had commented on the video, "Very confused whom to look at" and we could totally relate to her comment. Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently busy with the shoot of the reality show, Dance India Dance 7 as a judge and will soon start shooting for Takht. A while back, guess who paid her a visit at her workplace? It was none other than her little bundle of joy, Taimur Ali Khan. Costume designer and make-up artist, Mickey Contractor had taken to his Instagram and had given a glimpse of the mother-son moment on the sets. He had captioned the black-and-white cuddling picture of Kareena and Taimur as “We have the cutest visitor on set today” followed by a heart.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Saif Ali Khan had acknowledged and thanked paparazzi for giving Taimur Ali Khan “a little opportunity to be normal”. He had said, "They have shown class and dignity in doing that. My deepest respect to them, for giving Taimur a little opportunity to be normal. Taimur was in London (till now), and hadn’t seen a camera in a long time. I promise you he didn’t miss it at all."
Earlier, in an interview, Saif Ali Khan had revealed the new words his little one, Taimur Ali Khan had learnt to say and how they are enjoying these moments with him. Saif had stated, “He has learnt a few new words. He calls me ‘abba’ and has now started to say ‘baby’ and ‘gum’. Whenever he sees a chewing gum, he would just scream ‘gum’. He likes to watch the moon, so I sit with him in my office and show him the moon.” Saif had further added, "Taimur should be freely able to take his evening outing in the park. It becomes difficult in certain situations, but the photographers are really friendly. They are just doing their jobs and they don’t push him or his nanny, which is really kind.
