Love is all about making a perfect balance in each other’s life. When a couple is in love, they leave the entire world and stays happy in their own cocoon. And when it is about childhood love, then it just stays with you forever like a fresh breath of air. Bollywood’s heartthrob and national award winner, Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife, Tahira Kashyap are the perfect exemplars of fairytale love. The actor, who has always proved his mettle in acting with films like, Vicky Donor and the national award-winning movie, Badhaai Ho, has added one more feather to his cap. And like they say, behind every successful man, there is a woman and in Ayushmann’s case, it is his beautiful wife, Tahira Kashyap. Tahira is an author, filmmaker and a cancer survivor. Although they lived in the same city, Ayushmann met Tahira in a tuition class and they instantly fell in love with each other. They are happily married for 11 years now and their love has just grown with every passing day. From being best friends to soulmates, nothing has come in between them not even Ayushmann’s stardom.
The year 2019 has been tremendous for Ayushmann Khurana with movies like Article 15, Dream Girl and his recent release Bala just crossed 100 crores box-office records. At the recently held Filmfare Awards 2020, Ayushmann was bestowed with Best Actor Critics Award for his film, Article 15. And it is his wife, Tahira Kashyap, who is the happiest. She took to her Instagram handle and shared a lovely picture and a cryptic note for her hubby where she mentioned that she won’t mind sharing her husband with the black lady. Along with the picture, she wrote, “Hey gorgeous looking at you! And tonight I don’t mind sharing the room with the black lady you just got home #filmfarebestactorcritics.”
Ayushmann Khurrana had made an appearance on his wife, Tahira Kashyap’s podcast show, My Ex-Breast and had called her his victorious queen. The episode was titled as Yes Sir, it’s Cancer and it had discussed the events that went on since Tahira’s cancer was first detected. Ayushmann had stated, “Even though we were together in this fight, I was always so inspired by you and I saw that you’ve become even stronger than me and this transformation was a miracle and came at the right time and it gave you the strength to face everything head-on, and now you’re my victorious queen, standing in front of me.” (Also Read: Chunky Panday Reveals Daughter, Ananya Panday's First Filmfare Award As His Proudest Moment)
In the same show, Tahira Kashyap had revealed, “I’m admitting this to you, the only reason I got through was because of how calm and supportive you were through the whole journey.” Ayushmann had further talked about the roller-coaster of emotions and challenges that they went through the entire process as they had constantly leaned on each other during her recovery. Ayushmann had added further that though he was always a strong person since childhood, his wife, Tahira was very vulnerable and had confessed how proud he was of her emotional strength and willingness to fight breast cancer not only for herself but for him and their two children, Virajveer and Varushka.
In a 2017 interview with the Mid-Day, Ayushmann had talked about his wife, Tahira and how she has been his constant pillar of support. He had said, "When I got married, I had no money. Tahira has been doing better than me professionally for the longest time. She was gutsy enough to marry a man just for love and have faith in his talent. She is a rockstar; she was a professor, had her own PR firm in Chandigarh. She was also the programming head of a radio station in Punjab."
