Sydney Towle's last Instagram post before moving into hospice made her followers emotional
Sydney Towle shared what has now become her last Instagram post before the hospice news on July 23, 2026. It was specifically a concert video where she opened up about how she spent a month in a hospital bed. The 26-year-old had been admitted to the hospital during her fight against stage 4 intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. It is a rare and aggressive form of bile duct cancer. In her words:
"It's been exactly one month in this hospital bed. It doesn't quite feel that long because I've been in and out of hospitals for a lot longer than that."

Sydney admitted that everything felt "like a dream." In fact, she often found herself wondering what was real and what was not. But irrespective of these challenges, some moments also brought unexpected comfort. For instance, she found joy in her family, friends, and small moments.
The influencer's post also explained how simple things kept Sydney going in her difficult journey. She also mentioned how she opened her eyes to see her friends gathered around her or how her mother brought her crossword puzzles. But the biggest highlight was the band Royal Otis dedicating a song to her. In fact, the video she shared happened to feature the exact moment they mentioned her name. Ending her emotional and self-reflective post, she wrote:
"Crazy. Life is a dream."
Needless to say, the heartfelt message quickly came to attention after Sydney's family shared her health update. At the same time, many followers revisited the post and praised her optimism in grave situations. One user penned, "I just read that you have been moved to hospice. Praying you are pain-free and sending so much love to your family as you begin your peaceful transition into heaven. Thank you for being such a blessing to this world!!"
Another follower penned, "Sydney, there are so many who love you and are inspired by you. You are such a beautiful soul. A sun and a star, you shine so bright. I hope you have the best people around you, that you get the best care, that you are getting better really soon!"
Meanwhile, Sydney's brother, Austin Towle took to his Instagram handle on August 4, 2026, to share that the influencer was moved into hospice care. The update came after the 26-year-old bravely fought cancer for nearly three years.
He also shared a photo of their family and close friends who gathered around her hospital bed. Austin stated that Sydney was now focusing on comfort and quality of life in the presence of her loved ones. In his words:
"Sydney has been moved to hospice and is surrounded by her friends and family. Thank you all so much. Your love and support do not go unnoticed."
Before moving into hospice care, Sydney spent several weeks in the hospital as she continued to deal with severe pain from her treatment. So, her move into hospice care marks a transition to a comfort-focused care where she is spending time with her loved ones and getting support for her symptoms.
