Bollywood actor, late Sushant Singh Rajput had made his debut with the film, Kai Po Che in 2013, and had become a youth icon. The actor had given some blockbuster movies to the Hindi film industry, including MS Dhoni - The Untold Story, Raabta, PK, Kedarnath, and many others. Sushant Singh Rajput was in a relatioship with actress, Rhea Chakraborty, and their cutesy camaraderie had won many hearts.
For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his residence in Bandra on June 14, 2020, and ever since then, the CBI has been probing the case related to his death. Apart from that, agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have also been involved, and they had also done separate investigations. Sushant's girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested in the case in September 2020, and almost a month later, she was granted bail by the Bombay High Court.

On July 12, 2022, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) produced a draft of the charges filed against the accused in the drug case linked to actor, Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The draft claimed that Rhea Chakraborty had received multiple deliveries of ganja from the other accused people, including her brother, Showik, and she had later handed it over to Sushant. It added that all the accused had conspired with each other and were in contact with drug peddlers to procure, buy, sell and distribute drugs in high-end societies and Bollywood.
The draft also stated that all the accused had financed drug trafficking and also consumed narcotics and psychotropic substances like ganja, charas, cocaine etc., without a valid licence or authorisation. Therefore, Rhea Chakraborty, her brother, Showik and others have been charged under the provisions of the NDPS Act, including sections 27 and 27A (financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders), 28 (punishment for attempts to commit offences), and 29 (whoever abets, or is a party to a criminal conspiracy). The draft charges can be read as:
“Rhea Chakroborty received many deliveries of ganja from accused Samuel Miranda, Showik, Dipesh Sawant and others and handed over those deliveries to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She made payments for those deliveries at the instance of Showik and the late actor between March 2020 and September that year."

Earlier, the NCB had maintained the previous charges levied against Rhea Chakraborty, her brother, Showik and others and had asked the court to charge them for procuring and financing narcotic substances for the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. As per a report by PTI, special public prosecutor, Atul Sarpande had informed the media that initially, the court had decided to frame charges against all the accused, but as some of them moved discharge applications, the decision had got postponed.
June 14, 2022, had marked the second death anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput, and his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty had shared a series of romantic pictures with the late actor. In the unseen pictures, the couple could be seen having a great time with each other, and it was everything about love and memories. Along with the priceless pictures, the actress had penned a 'miss you' note in the caption, which could be read as:
"Miss you everyday..."
Currently, the case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and it is yet to establish if Sushant Singh Rajput's demise was a suicide.
