On November 08, 2018, Surveen shared a wonderful news with her fans. Sharing a framed photograph of herself with hubby Akshay Thakker, and two tiny red baby shoes kept infront of it, this is what the Hate Story 2 star wrote, “Life happens when it chooses to happen, when it wants to happen. And it is happening right now in this very moment, making our blessed and beautiful world even more blessed than what it already is! Yes, there is a miracle taking place, a miracle called life! And we are growing by two little teeny-weeny feet!! @akshaythakker.” The couple are expecting their child in April 2019.
And ever since we have been waiting to catch a glimpse of Surveen with her baby bump and looks like our genie granted us that wish! The mommy-to-be is already into a fitness frenzy as her celebrity yoga instructor, Rupal Sidh posted two pictures of Surveen, which clearly shows her cute baby bump. Sharing the picture, Rupal wrote, “Guess who’s preggers???? My newest love is @surveenchawla How I love harassing you to no ends women!!! And even after that, this lady will only smile and say “haan jaan hi lele bas tu ab!” The coolest and the most comforting, the #sacredgames star is dedicated to yoga like she is to her food stay tuned to see this hot mommy to be in action in my classes!!!!” with an array of hastags. Reposting the same picture from her profile, Surveen wrote, “And you’re the coolest possible Guru @rupal_sidh ”Jaan banane ke liye jaan leti hai! Surveen is all all-ecstatic mommy-to-be and she shared the same with Bombay Times. In the interview, she stated, “It’s a beautiful feeling and more so, as it has come completely unexpected for Akshay and me. Suddenly, life has become beautiful. I am looking forward to every step now. Of course, it’s unfamiliar territory, but the only one that comes with a guarantee of being wonderful. Akshay and I feel really blessed!" How is the feeling of nurturing a life inside her? The mommy-to-be stated, "Honestly, initially, the fear of change engulfed me, but later, the beauty of it all started sinking in. Now, I feel like I am embarking on a new journey and adventure of sorts. I don’t know how many women will tell you the truth, but the reality is that motherhood is a slow, gradual process. Motherly instincts are not born out of nowhere. Motherhood, to me, is a feeling that grows on you, with the growing life inside you. I think just the fact that women are designed to grow a whole being inside them is a far more superior feeling.”
This year began on an exciting note as what people thought as single, Surveen had been married for over 2 years, without anyone’s knowledge! In an interview with TOI, she revealed the reason for keeping her marriage a secret from the world outside and stated, “Well, I wanted to break the myth and I wanted to take time to be prepared about saying it. Being a part of this (entertainment) industry, we are conditioned in a certain way. Now you guys tell me, in two years when you people have seen me, have you found any difference?"
Surveen is known to break all stereotypes in the industry and is extremely comfortable in portraying bold characters. She shared with the same publication that although she was ‘reluctant’ to get married in the beginning, she has found a best friend in her husband. She shares, “I could kiss my co-actor or even go nude on screen, I can do whatever the script demands in a film and my husband will not say anything about it. That’s the kind of understanding I have with him. When I have this kind of comfort level with him, why would I wait to get married?
