While there were tumults of interesting housemates this year on the vichitra jodi format of the show, one couple who caught our maximum fancy was the vichitra camaraderie between 65-year-old, Anup Jalota and 28-year-old, Jasleen Matharu. From giving lipstick-stained forehead pecks to her ‘beau’ on the show, going on dates with him, on-screen breakups and multitudes of patch-ups thereafter and at the end of it, revealing that their relationship was just a publicity stunt, you name anything vichitra that happened in the Bigg Boss 12 house between Jasleen Matharu and her rumoured boyfriend, Anup Jalota and thou shalt have it! It was only when we had reached the show’s midst when during a task (guess the name of the person whose secret it is), Jasleen had anonymously posed the question, “Mera ek famous celebrity ke saath ek gehra rishta tha aur mere abhi ke partner bhi nahi jaante iss baare mein!” And Anup Jalota at once said, “Sukhi”!

Considered to be one of the hottest contestants in the Bigg Boss 12 house, Jasleen Matharu celebrated her 29th birthday with many who’s who of the glamour world. From cutting her birthday cake along with Suyyash Rai and Kishwer Merchantt’s mother, Rizwanaa S Merchantt, Jasleen had a blast! But do you know, what was the best part? Dressed in a blue-frilled dress with pearl earrings and a similar tiara, Jasleen Matharu looked no less than a princess on her birthday! The cake which she had cut on her birthday completely suited her personality! What to know why? When Jasleen Matharu had hinted dating Sukhwinder Singh, and when the latter was questioned about the same, he, at once rubbished all such pair-up rumours and shared in an interview with the Bombay Times, “We have been good friends for the last six years. Jasleen calls me Bablu. She accompanies me for my shows and her family is also close to me. In fact, her mom, dad and friends came over to my house a day before she left for Bigg Boss. She cut a cake and we had a great time. We often catch up for movies and outings along with her friends, but we have never dated each other. I’m surprised that this was claimed on the show. I’ll call up her father and check what this is all about."
However, it was Jasleen Matharu and her twice as age then boyfriend, Anup Jalota, who never failed to grab headlines and attention inside the Bigg Boss 12 house. Before entering the house, Jasleen had gotten all candid with The Times of India and had spoken about age factor, ever posing as a hindrance in, what people termed as their ‘rather odd relationship’. The 28-year-old singer had then shared, “Age gap has never bothered us and now once we go inside the house we will get to know the real reaction of people about our relationship. Since until now, nobody knew anything. So, whether good, bad or ugly, we will get reactions from the house."
Jasleen Matharu had also shared that her parents did not knew that she and Anup had been dating. She had revealed, “This is going to come as a huge shock to my parents and friends as no one is aware of my relationship with Anup Jalota ji. We have been dating each other for the last three and a half years. We usually don’t get time to spend with each other in the outside world due to our busy schedules, but now with the help of Bigg Boss, we will get to do so.
