While many millennial brides ditch the usual red lehengas and opt for pastels, Deepika chose to walk the traditional lane and created history with her bespoke Sabyasachi Mukherjee lehenga. Her wedding lehenga was specially curated for her and it was a triumph of her personal style that demonstrated her roots. The red gharara was hand embroidered with golden tilla details.
However, the highlight of her entire ensemble was her chowki design aari-taari dupatta that was completed with an embroidered saying, ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’ written on it in Devnagri. It is an age-old blessing given to newlyweds, which translates to ‘may you forever be married’. And it was worth a whopping INR. 8.95 Lakhs. Well, her lehenga definitely set a huge trend and made us fall in love with the gota-patti work. Now, we have come across a beautiful picture of a bride, Ravina, who wore an exactly similar lehenga as of Deepika from designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Makeup artist, Meera Sakhrani, made her look radiant with well-defined eyes and bright red lipstick. Ravina opted for a layered neckpiece with green stones and a matha-patti that just made her look complete. Her kaleeras also resembled Deepika’s kaleera but the length was a bit small.
