Suhana Khan is one of the most-sought after Gen-Z actresses in Bollywood. The young lady, who made her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies has received mixed responses from the audience over her performance in the film. Apart from the various brand endorsements and campaigns which she is already a part of, it is her identity as the daughter of Bollywood’s badshaah, Shah Rukh Khan which has prevailed more than anything.
Back in 2023, post the release of her debut film, The Archies, the young debutant, Suhana Khan claimed how much she hated the kind of attention she got because of her identity as being Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter. In her interaction with Vogue, the star-daughter mentioned how right from the childhood, she sensed the immense popularity her dad garnered. Adding how people referring to her as SRK’s daughter confused her, Suhana stated:
“I realised quite early on that it was different for us. But I never really thought about my dad being famous. When I was about five, he would come and drop me to school, and people would point and stare. He wasn’t being addressed as Suhana’s dad, which is what I wanted. It confused me. I hated the attention. It made me very self-conscious.”

In one of her other interviews with Mirchi Plus, Suhana Khan was asked if she felt awkward to see her father and superstar, Shah Rukh Khan put up posts to hype her on social media. The debutant actress remarked that she doesn’t feel any kind of awkwardness, since at the end of the day he is her father. She further revealed that these gestures are just an epitome of his abundant love for her. Suhana said:
“No, not at all. Wo mere dad hi hain. Social media par, and in real life. So, it doesn't feel awkward. He is just sharing his love for me. I'm not awkward at all. I'm very proud."
Well, there can be no doubts about how much parents become a source of guiding light for their children. And the same case applies to Suhana Khan, who in fact, ended up following the footsteps of her father and ventured into showbiz as an actress. Previously, speaking at the India Today Conclave, Suhana Khan credited her parents, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan for being the ultimate guiding light in her life and added how her entire family never fail to chip in and complete one another in millions of ways.

Apart from Suhana Khan, it is her brother, Aryan Khan, who too has ventured into the world of films. For the unversed, ditching the shoes of an actor, the young lad chose the directorial chair and will be soon bringing his first web-series titled Stardom. In one of his older interviews with MBC Bollywood, the proud father, Shah Rukh Khan talked about his children venturing into professions in the same field as his, and said:
“I’m happy that now they are into films and it’s a choice they made. I and Gauri, as a family, never told them to do this or that, they were free to choose what they wished to. One of them chose to be an actor-my daughter. My son decided to learn direction, so both of them are in films. The son is directing the film and the daughter has already acted in one film.”
