Priyanka Singh recalls Sushant Singh Rajput's mental state after learning about Disha Salian's death
With Disha's death probe reopening, Sushant Singh Rajput's sister, Priyanka Singh, shared her perspective of how things unfolded in the actor's final weeks. In her recent interview with Republic Digital, Priyanka shared that her last lengthy conversation with Sushant took place on May 25, 2020, and until the night of June 7, 2020, the actor appeared happy, philosophical, and in a clear state of mind. She told the outlet:
"On May 25th, my brother and I had a conversation that lasted for an hour, an hour and a half. He was in a very nice place. He was thinking ahead, philosophical... bohot hi accha. Hum logon ne itni acchi baat kari... We just said, 'Bhai, Corona ke baad baithenge and we will talk.' And that was very beautiful... We were also exchanging messages on the 8th."

However, the situation turned grim after Disha was found dead in the early hours of June 8, 2026. When Sushant learned about the tragedy, he allegedly called his sister in a panicked state. Priyanka shared:
"Disha, if we're talking about 8th June, that is, I think, the late night of the 7th, after 12:00 AM; that’s why it’s 8th June. Sushant calls me in panic on the morning of the 8th, somewhere around 10:30-11:00 AM, and he’s in panic! I’m like, 'What happened? Kya hua bhai?'... I said, 'Okay, okay, don't worry, we are coming.' And my sister, Mitu Di, who was in Mumbai at that time, went to Sushant that day itself...That was his state after Disha."
Priyanka said that their sister, Mitu, was with Sushant when he later read a headline about Salian. She recalled that Sushant read the news in front of Mitu and then fainted. She said he regained consciousness and made a remark that alarmed the family.
"The next day, the headlines say, Mitu Di is there. The headlines say, “Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-manager Disha Salian.” And the story continues, “She’s sided off.” And my brother reads it in front of my sister, Mitu Di, and we are talking... He fainted."
Sushant's vulnerable state was what alarmed the family. Priyanka said, "We are not the kind. We are physically, mentally, emotionally so strong. We are built strong, thanks to our genes. But he fainted. And got up again."

The most shocking revelation Priyanka made was when a terrified Sushant allegedly told them, "Yeh log mujhe bhi nahi chhodenge." She says that the family had shared this incident with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as well. Priyanka did not identify who she believed Sushant was referring to in the quoted remark.
What happened in the Disha Salian case?
Disha Salian, who had briefly worked as Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager, died in Mumbai in June 2020 after falling from a residential building. Mumbai Police initially registered an accidental death report.
The case has returned to the spotlight following renewed legal proceedings. The Bombay High Court ordered a CBI investigation, and the agency registered an FIR in September 2026. The inquiry is expected to examine the earlier police investigation, records, witness statements and forensic material. The court has clarified that people should not be treated as accused unless sufficient material emerges during the investigation.
Salian’s death occurred six days before Sushant was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020. The timing has prompted years of public speculation surrounding the two deaths.
