While Alia and Ranbir’s marriage rumours have been rife, the former had openly addressed it in an interview with the Hindustan Times. Alia had stated, “Not at all! I feel it’s all unnecessary chatter. You have to understand that personal life is called ‘personal’ for a reason. In fact, that’s why, not many speak up about their relationships. The minute you say anything, there are random pieces of news including my supposed marriage.”
Well, the moment Alia and Ranbir opened up about their relationship, we have been constantly looking up on their cute PDA. Recently, Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan also opened up about her daughter’s wedding buzz, and revealed, “I guess it's natural. It's a natural curiosity that people will get. Soni ji also talked about Alia’s milestones as she is receiving all the awards for her role as Sehmat in the film Raazi. She said, “Great! I think she deserved it, totally. It was a well-deserved award. And I think I would've been rather disappointed if she didn't win.”
Alia has grown into a beautiful woman, who knows what she wants in life. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, she had talked about idea of marriage, and had shared, “But marriage is something that hasn’t even crossed my mind. I am not averse to it. But it’s not a part of my plan right now. I have a lot of work to do. It’s not as if I won’t work post marriage, whenever it happens. But right now, my focus is just on work. For those who don’t know, Alia had a huge crush on Ranbir, even before she became a part of the tinsel town. In fact, she had expressed her desire to marry him on Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan, in 2013. And years later, on the sets of Brahmastra, the universe played its part and they felt the sparks.
In a throwback interview, Alia had recalled her first, rather embarrassing conversation with Ranbir. She had said, “I remember the first time I spoke to Ranbir. You (Karan Johar) called him up when Rockstar just released and you said, ‘Here, talk to Ranbir. Tell him how much you love him’. And I spoke so much rubbish.
