Taking to her IG handle, Sonam Kapoor dropped a few breathtaking pictures of herself, clad in an elegant saree from one of her recent wedding looks. The maroon-hued saree featured traditional Gharchola prints all over it, along with resplendent lace and zari work all over it. She teamed it with a matching blouse, that had sequin work on it. She completed her look with subtle makeup, half-tied hairdo and kundan jewellery. Giving a little detail about her gorgeous pick, Sonam revealed that the Ghatchola saree which she wore, was a 35-year-old piece which she borrowed from the wardrobe of her mommy, Sunita Kapoor. She captioned her post as:
“Wearing my mom’s 35 year old ghar chola. Thanks mama for lending me this sari and blouse, love raiding your closet. Do you know what a ghar chola is and the significance of it? Would love to know your answers in the comment section.”

Well, Sonam Kapoor never fails to leave everyone stunned with her unique and mesmerising fashion choices. For instance, a few days back, she shared snapshots of herself, all decked up for attending one of her BFF’s wedding. She wore a multi-hued, vintage Benarasi saree, which featured real gold embroidery etched all over it. The pallu of the saree was adorned with tassels, cowrie shells and pearl detailing. Ditching a blouse, she teamed her saree with a matching short kurta and a dupatta.
Despite being an actress as well as a fashion icon, Sonam Kapoor’s continues to root for a fashion, which is both sustainable and classy. Speaking along the same lines, the diva, in one of her previous interviews with ANI, talked about how being fashionable doesn’t mean not repeating outfits. Citing the importance of sustainable fashion choices, she said:
“To me, having a product with longevity is luxury. Back in the day, my mother and grandmother would preserve expensive saris in a mal mal cloth, masterji would create made-to-measure outfits, juttis would be created to fit our feet. I’m also doing the same."

In her personal life, Sonam Kapoor is married to the man of her dreams, Anand Ahuja and the duo is blessed with a son, Vayu. Back on January 4, 2024, Sonam took to her IG handle and shared some pictures of herself, clad in an ethnic attire. However, it was her caption to the post which grabbed attention. The diva talked about slowly getting back to her fit body after 16 months of her delivery and said:
“It’s taken me 16 months to feel like myself again. Slowly steadily without any crash diets and crazy workouts just consistent self care and baby care. I’m not there yet but almost where I want to be.. still very very grateful for my body and how incredible it has been. Being a woman is a wondrous thing. #babymomma #proudwoman #everydayphenomenal #vayusparents."
