In April 2020, Smriti and Gautam had welcomed a little angel into their lives, whom they have lovingly named Anayka Gupta. Since then, the doting mommy has been sharing glimpses of her little goofball and her antics. The little munchkin never fails to captivate us with her cuteness. On December 1, 2020, the doting mommy, Smriti had taken to her IG handle and had shared some lovely pictures with Anayka from her festive archives. Twinning with her momma in traditional attire, Anayka had looked like a cotton ball.
A few minutes back, Smriti took to her IG handle and shared adorable glimpses with her baby doll, Anayka as the mother-daughter duo head out for shopping in Dubai. In the pictures, Anayka looked like a mushball in a white top, pink pants and matching pink shoes, her bow hairband was unmissable. On the other hand, Smriti twinned with her daughter in a white crop top, pink blazer and pants. Smriti captioned the pictures and video as “Twinning with my Minnie.”
A couple of months ago, in an interview with The Times of India, Smriti had talked about her weight loss and postpartum depression. She had shared, "I have realised that even if you speak good on social media and educate people about pregnancy and mother, haters will still troll you. I felt that people did not discuss much about pregnancy, weight issues, breastfeeding and I feel these topics should come out openly in our society because there are so many myths and women struggle all their life to lose weight. There are so many times that this becomes a matter of depression for them. They stop stepping out because they are not looking a certain way or not fitting into their dress. Some women are scared to get pregnant. There is postpartum depression and it is a big thing and it is not spoken in India." On July 6, 2020, Smriti had turned a year older and her baby girl, Anayka had shown off her fashionista style. The actress had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture of her smiling little doll. In the picture, we could see Anayka donning a yellow giraffe shirt with white floral pants. Her look was completed with matching mittens and a cute hairband. Smriti had captioned the pictures as "This has by far been the best birthday. Forever grateful for this beautiful life! Ps Miss You @neetakhanna @vinod8964 @shrutikhannajuneja @kunwarjuneja @reyanshjunejaofficial."
Talking about Smriti and Gautam's baby girl's unique name, the actress had revealed the story of the same in an interview with the Hindustan Times. She had said that it had taken them 20 days to decide her name. She had further revealed what 'Anayka' means and had added that it denotes powerful and complete. She feels Anayka is an apt name for her daughter. The actress had also said that she had wanted a baby girl and her wish had come true and this had made her Mother’s Day even more special.
