The actors, who had met during their stint on the show, had eventually become good friends.
It was during their vacation in Goa that Gautam had proposed to his ladylove by popping the million dollar question, and luckily, Smriti had reciprocated to it. On November 23, 2017, Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta had walked down the aisle, and there was no looking back ever since then.

A few hours ago, Smriti took to her Instagram handle to share a series of pictures from her 12 am birthday celebration with close friends and husband, Gautam Gupta. The actress flaunted a white one-piece dress with hues of red and pink floral prints. In one of the pictures, we can spot her kissing her husband, Gautam Gupta, on the lips. She captioned the pictures as "Happy happy to me #aboutlastnight #bringin"
As soon as the pictures were posted, Smriti Khanna's friends from the entertainment industry took to the comments section to shower her with birthday wishes. From actresses, Mouni Roy, Dia Mirza, Mahhi Vij, Srishty Rode to Kundali Bhagya fame, Abhishek Kapur, everyone bestowed the birthday girl with their valuable wishes.

Smriti Khanna's doting husband, Gautam Gupta, took to his IG handle to wish his dearest wifey on her birthday by sharing a throwback video from their vacaction at an exotic location. In the video, we can spot Smriti dancing on the streets as her hubby recorded it. He captioned the video as "Happiest Birthday Gorgeous", followed by a balloon, kissing and red heart emoticon.
Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta love to go on vacations, and their Instagram handles prove that perfectly. A few months ago, Smriti had shared a Boomerang from one such vacation and had captioned it as "Ain't nothin' better We beat the odds together I'm glad we didn't listen Look at what we would be missin'."
