On November 24, 2017, Smriti Khanna had gotten married to the love of her life, Gautam Gupta. And after three years, the lovely couple had embarked the journey of parenthood in April 2020 and had welcomed a baby girl whom they have lovingly named, Anayka. Smriti, who always wanted a baby girl, makes sure to treat her fans by giving glimpses of her angel through her social media.
On July 27, 2020, Smriti Khanna took to her Instagram handle and shared an adorable video of her baby girl, Anayka. In the video, Anayka looked like a cotton ball in a green-and-white striped onesie as she played with her mommy. In the video, we saw a partial glimpse of Smriti’s pooch, Lucas Gupta keeping a check on Anayka. It is just adorable to see how Lucas was concerned for Smriti’s little doll, Anayka. On June 15, 2020, Smriti's little angel had completed two-months. The adorable mommy had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture with her baby girl. In the picture, we could see Smriti holding her little doll in her arms. The mother-daughter duo could be seen twinning in matching pink-colour headbands and Minnie mouse t-shirts. Alongside the picture, Smriti had written, "2 months old today. #twinning Surround yourself with positive energy .. your mental wellbeing, your success, and your happiness depends on it!" Earlier, in an interview with the SpotboyE, Smriti had talked about being a mommy and had said, "Our sleepless nights have begun (laughs). However, I’m getting habituated to it. The problem is that due to this lockdown, we don't have any help around us plus we don’t want to risk it by calling someone."
On the occasion of Mother's Day, Smriti Khanna's husband, Gautam Gupta had taken to his Instagram handle to wish the new mommy on her special day. He had shared a couple of pictures of her with their baby girl. But one picture that had stood out was of Smriti holding her little munchkin while their pooch lovingly looked at the little wonder. Gautam had captioned the pictures as "Happy First Mother’s Day my love!"
Talking about Smriti and Gautam's baby girl's unique name, the actress had revealed the story of the same in an interview with the Hindustan Times. She had said that it took them 20 days to decide her name. She had further revealed what 'Anayka' means and had added that it denotes powerful and complete. She feels Anayka is an apt name for her daughter. The actress had also said that she had wanted a baby girl and her wish has come true and this had made her Mother’s Day even more special.
