Ketan, a Pune-based realtor was killed by Chetan Chaudhary, the lover of his fiancée, Siya Goyal, ahead of their lavish Udaipur wedding. The duo pushed Ketan 400 feet down from Lohagad Fort, leading to the latter's death on the spot. Amid the ongoing probe, it was revealed that Siya and Chetan have been secretly married for four months. Following that, another of Siya's alleged lies, regarding her educational background, surfaced.
Siya Goyal lied to Ketan Agarwal's family about her academic background for years
Siya Goyal and Ketan Agarwal's families reportedly knew each other for 35 long years. The duo's marriage was also based on mutual trust and respect between the Goyals and the Agarwals. However, according to new, explosive reports about Siya, she and her family have never really been honest about anything. They reportedly fooled Ketan's family until now, using Siya's fake 12th pass certificate and lying to them that she was a Commerce student at a college.
Notably, Siya's family members have recently confirmed that she had no interest in studies, dropped out in class 12 and started a cake business instead. As to why the Goyals deliberately deceived Ketan Agarwal's family members, the most likely answer would be his impressive academic record. Ketan Agarwal was reportedly a well-established professional. He worked as a real estate executive from Pune, Maharashtra and was widely known as a director of Success Group, a well-known real estate company operated by his family.
As Siya was no match to Ketan in terms of education and career, she might have resorted to lying about being a college student to ensure that the marriage went ahead. As for the wedding, it was set to be a grand affair in Udaipur, with a palace-like venue booked for Rs. 17 crore.
Why did Siya Goyal kill Ketan Agarwal?
More than Siya Goyal's horrendous act, her motive was bizarre. As per reports, Siya, who initially agreed to marry Ketan Agarwal, later regretted her decision when she found out he was bald and wore a wig. Siya allegedly didn't want a bald life partner who also had a stuttering problem. Upon learning about those, her attitude towards Ketan reportedly changed. She no longer deemed him suitable for marriage. It was probably at that time that she once again gravitated towards her lover, Chetan Chaudhary.
Ketan's father, Vishal Agarwal was shocked to hear Siya's statement about his son's baldness leading to her killing him. He stated that both Siya and her family knew about Ketan's baldness before they got engaged in February 2026. He then revealed that his son had medical reasons for the early hair loss. He was heartbroken to know the baseless reason for which his son lost his life.
According to Ketan's dad, murder is never an option when issues can be solved through words. Vishal said that Siya could simply call off the wedding; however, she told police officials that she didn't choose that path as it would harm her family's honour. According to her own words, it was easier to kill Ketan than to tell her family the truth about her secret love life. Chetan claimed to have tried to coerce her into eloping with him, but she wasn't ready to do so. Vishal Agarwal stated:
"Ketan had a small patch of hair loss due to medical reasons, but this was clearly communicated well before the marriage was finalised. If she had any issues, she could have just said no. It would have been very easy for Siya to simply call off the wedding if that was an issue for her."
