Sushant Singh Rajput's Flatmate, Siddharth Pithani Files Bail Plea To Get Married

Late Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput's flatmate, Siddharth Pithani, is still under judicial custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau. However, he has filed a bail plea on the grounds of getting married. The 28-year-old was arrested from Hyderabad after NCB has sent him three summons. According to reports, NCB was looking for Siddharth Pithani since August 2020.

Siddharth Pithani is one of the eye-witnesses present in the house during Sushant Singh Rajput's mysterious death. After the actor's death, he had disappeared from Mumbai and even deleted his then-active Instagram account. However, in April 2021, he had created a new Instagram account, and, through it, NCB had tracked him.

According to a report in Economic Times, Siddharth Pithani filed a bail plea through his advocate, Taraq Sayyad. The accused told the courts that he is getting married on June 26, 2021. Pithani also claimed that he had been falsely framed in the matter.

Siddharth Pithani has been booked under section 27-A (financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, among other charges. However, the court has postponed the matter for hearing on June 16, 2021.

For the uninitiated, NCB has been trying to trace Pithani for six-to-seven months. Finally, they found him through an Instagram post in which he posted a picture saying Pizza power #foodandfitness @fitnessturfasraonagar.

Well, the next hearing will only tell whether Siddharth Pithani will get bail from NCB custody or not!
