Sia Once Slammed Shia LaBeouf For Conning Her Into 'Adulterous' Relationship, 'I Believe He's Sick'

The news comes over a year after their split in 2025. For those unaware, the duo has been in an on-and-off relationship since 2012. They also share a daughter, whom they welcomed in 2022. Amid Mia filing for divorce from Shia LaBeouf, Sia’s statement that the actor had once conned her into an ‘adulterous’ relationship has resurfaced.
Sia accused Shia LaBeouf of being a ‘pathological liar' and conning her into a relationship
Sia is known for being pretty secretive when it comes to her personal life. This is why she left fans shocked when she accused Shia LaBeouf of conning her into an ‘adulterous' relationship. She also warned other women to stay away from him as she believes he is a “very sick” human being. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), she wrote:
“I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single. I believe he’s very sick and have compassion for him AND his victims. Just know, if you love yourself- stay safe, stay away.”
For those wondering, Sia’s accusations against Shia LaBeouf came after his ex-girlfriend, FKA Twigs, sued him for alleged abuse in their relationship. This included sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress. In a follow-up tweet, Sia added, “Also, I love you @FKAtwigs. This is very courageous, and I'm very proud of you.”
Sia did not elaborate further on her “adulterous relationship” with Shia LaBeouf. However, it is worth noting that he has starred in the singer's 2015 music video for her hit song Elastic Heart. At the time, he was dating Mia Goth.
Shia LaBeouf did not respond to Sia’s bombshell allegations. But in a statement to The New York Times, he did respond to the lawsuit filed against him, where he admitted that he had been abusive to both himself and those around him for years. He said:
"I'm not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I'm ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say."
Mia Goth files for divorce from Shia LaBeouf
According to reports, Mia Goth filed a petition for dissolution of her and Shia LaBeouf’s marriage on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. She cited “irreconcilable differences” and listed their date of separation as July 28, 2025.
In her filing, Mia has asked for primary legal and physical custody of her and Shia’s 4-year-old daughter. She also requested to terminate the court’s ability to award either her or Shia spousal support.
Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth first crossed paths over a decade ago, in 2012, while filming Nymphomaniac: Vol. II. As their relationship progressed, they tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2016. However, officials confirmed that they were not legally married.
The couple split in 2018 when Shia began seeing FKA Twigs. A rep said at the time, “Shia and Mia have filed for divorce. The separation is amicable, and all details about the divorce proceedings will remain private.”
However, in March 2020, Mia Goth and Shia LaBeouf were spotted wearing wedding rings while biking together in Los Angeles. This hinted that they were back together.
It seems like Mia and Shia began having trouble in their relationship once again when, most recently, the actor was arrested on two counts of simple battery after an altercation at a bar during Mardi Gras celebrations. A source quoted by PEOPLE said:
“They weren’t getting along and had a lot of drama last year. She loves him, but she also doesn’t need him. She’s very independent. She has her own life, her own career, and her priority is their daughter.”
