Mia Goth listed July 28, 2025, as her separation date. The couple got married on October 10, 2016. She has been seeking primary legal and physical custody of Isabel, and has asked the court to terminate spousal support. Amidst this, we stumbled upon a 2022 interview with Shia, where he admitted to cheating on all women he was involved with.
Shia Lebouf admitted that he has been unfaithful to every woman he has been with. In 2020, Shia's ex-girlfriend sued him for causing her relentless abuse, including sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress. Shia admitted that he had hurt a lot of people, and he is fully aware of that, and he is going to owe it for the rest of his life.

Shia admitted that he has a long list of people he needs to apologize to. He went on to say that he 'cheated on every woman I've ever been with' and never told his sexual partner about getting cold sores, which was manipulative. Without naming anyone, Shia was quoted as saying:
"I hurt that woman. And in the process of doing that, I hurt many other people, and many other people before that woman. I was a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centered, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being.
Earlier, in 2026, Shia talked about his falling-apart marriage with Mia Goth. He revealed the reason for his separation from Mia and stated that they were deeply unhappy. He admitted making a lot of mistakes early on before they tried to have a baby. He admitted that he broke Mia's trust in a big-big way. He said:
"We were deeply unhappy. I made a lot of mistakes early on before we tried to have a baby. I had violated trust in a big, big way. We tried … to fix it, and it was impossible, and we both became very unhappy. And it’s not good to be unhappy around a baby. It’s not good to be unhappy around kids."
However, Shia has always praised his wife and called her one of the best girls that he has ever lived with. He called her an incredible woman. The actor also stated that they are trying to figure out co-parenting their daughter as they part ways. He revealed that he talks to his kid twice a day, and Mia never asks him to get out or says she does not want to talk to him.
For the unversed, Shia and Mia have been in an on-and-off relationship since 2012. The couple got married in 2016, and parted ways in 2018. However, they reconciled in 2020 and welcomed their first child, Isabel. But in 2025, things went downhill, and they parted ways. Their marriage struggled when Shia was arrested.
Shia admitted that he has anger and ego issues more than drinking. He was arrested due to an ugly and disgusting brawl. He said, "[My issues] have to do with anger and ego more so than my drinking."
