Shweta Tiwari's Estranged Husband, Abhinav Said He Didn't Ruin Her Image, 'She's Been Inhuman To Me'

Television actress Shweta Tiwari has found herself in the spotlight for all things personal. For those unaware, she was previously married to Raja Chaudhary, but they soon divorced. She then married Abhinav Kohli in 2013, but that, too, didn't last. At present, Abhinav and Shweta are separated, which is why the former's sudden decision to wish the actress on their 13th wedding anniversary has left many fans shocked. Amid the buzz, let's take a look at when Abhinav slammed Shweta for ‘false’ claims. 

Abhinav Kohli slammed Shweta Tiwari for alleging that he threatened to ‘ruin’ her reputation 

Shweta Tiwari became a household name for her role in Kasauti Zindagi Kay. Outside of her professional life, she grabbed headlines when she separated from her husband, Abhinav Kohli, with whom she shares a son named Reyansh. Things escalated soon after, when Abhinav accused Shweta of not allowing him to see their son.

Speaking about the same, Shweta claimed that her husband threatened to ruin her reputation. She said, “In the lobby of my residential building, he told me, ‘Ek aurat ki image kharab karne me kya lagta hai, just one post. Just one post, and you will be ruined. After 5 to 6 days, he started posting to spoil my reputation." 

However, Abhinav strongly refuted her claims, saying he had never done such a thing, since she was still his wife. Instead, all he had done was voice the unfair treatment that he and his son were facing. He also added that by making such false claims, Shweta intended to portray him as anti-woman. In his words: 

“Ruining her image is ruining my image too. Come what may, she is still my wife. I am just voicing injustice and injustice done towards my son; no father can tolerate that. My son is my concern. She wants to make it as if I am anti-woman; she wants me to be projected like that."

According to Abhinav, Shweta even got him arrested on false charges. He alleged that the fight was not about him but about their son, Reyansh. Abhinav also accused her of trying to get him arrested on his father's death anniversary. Even after knowing that it was an emotional day for him, she made sure that he spent the night behind bars. He was quoted as saying:

“I am fighting for my son, I am not yet fighting for myself. Shweta has been inhuman to me. I want to tell Shweta, you forget what you did to me. She put me behind bars for 2 nights and on wrong charges and then Palak (Shweta’s daughter) put up a post the next day that he did nothing wrong to me sexually. She later conveniently deleted it. And when I reposted that long letter that Palak had shared, she again put up a case against me. She tried to get me arrested on my father’s death anniversary. She didn’t even spare that day knowing how emotional that day is for me. She wanted me to spend that night inside a lockup."

Abhinav Kohli’s heartfelt note for Shweta Tiwari on their 13th wedding anniversary 

It was on July 13, 2026, that Abhinav Kohli and Shweta Tiwari completed 13 years of their marriage despite going through several ups and downs. For the occasion, Abhinav took to his Instagram handle to share a graphic of Tom and Jerry. In the note alongside the picture, he revealed that they had still not filed for divorce. The note can be read as:

“Where others pack their bags by year five or year six, and walk away so easily with a quick, quiet fix. We hit our thirteenth year on a very different track; we aren't walking close, yet we haven't cut the pack. 13.7.13—"Tera saath, tera..."—was the day we tied the knot, Thirteen, a lucky number for me, though for others it is not. No papers are filed, though the distance is wide. Just a 13-year riddle with a twist on the side. So here’s to the story that we couldn’t rearrange. Happy 13th Anniversary, Cuddles Kohli, to a bond that is strange!”
