Shweta Tiwari's Daughter Palak Exposed Stepdad, Abhinav's 'Inappropriate' Behaviour, 'Disgusting...'

Shweta Tiwari, one of Indian television's biggest names, has not been very lucky in love. Two of her marriages ended up in heartbreak and left her children with trauma. Her second husband, Abhinav Kohli has recently grabbed attention after he shared a heartfelt post for the actress on their 13th wedding anniversary. In the post, he revealed that despite the sourness in the relationship, they didn't file for divorce. Amid that, Shweta's daughter, Palak Tiwari's comments about her stepfather's "inappropriate" behaviour came into focus.

What did Palak Tiwari say about her stepfather, Abhinav Kohli's 'disturbing' behaviour?

Shweta Tiwari has had a hard life raising her children amid a hostile environment while subsequently balancing her career. The actress faced domestic abuse in both her marriages with Raja Chaudhary and Abhinav Kohli. When she registered a case of abuse against her second husband, Abhinav, it generated immense buzz online. Following that, her elder child, Palak Tiwari broke her silence. She publicly called out her stepfather by accusing him of hurling persistent "inappropriate and disturbing" insults towards them.

Palak stated that the kind of remarks Abhinav made during his fights with the mother-daughter duo would be embarrassing and provocative for any woman. She further accused him of questioning their dignity and disrespecting them. Palak also revealed that he hit Shweta the day she filed a complaint against him. Her exact words were:

"Except for the day that the complaint was filed he [Abhinav Kohli] hadn't hit my mother...He did persistently make inappropriate and disturbing remarks the impact of which is only known to my mother and I, and if any woman from any walk of life were to hear them she would be greatly embarrassed and provoked too. Words which would question the standing dignity of any woman, which you wouldn't expect to hear from any man, especially not your father."

Palak Tiwari recalled her mother's struggles in her marriage and called her the "strongest person" she knows. She slammed the unverified gossip about her online, calling them "misinformed" and "beyond disgusting". Palak shut down the speculations regarding her stepdad having touched her inappropriately or tried to sexually harm her. She slammed the people spreading such explosive lies on the internet and mentioned:

"Its time that i stand up for my mother for she is the strongest person I know and since out of all of us I'm the only person who's witnessed her struggle day in and day out, my opinion is the only one that matters. Abhinav Kohli has never physically molested me, or touched me inappropriately. Before spreading something of this caliber or even believing it, its imperative you as readers know the veracity of the facts that you're blindly divulging endlessly."

Abhinav Kohli responded to Palak Tiwari's comments

In an interview with SpotboyE, Abhinav admitted that what Palak wrote in her letter was true and he did slap Shweta Tiwari. He also allegedly apologised later for his act to both his estranged wife and stepdaughter. The actor also stated that it only happened once and that he was not a "woman beater". In the same interview, he spoke about the charges of domestic violence filed by Shweta and said: 

"I have never beaten Shweta apart from that slap which Palak herself has mentioned in that open letter. And I had already apologised for that slap to both of them. This whole thing is just a confusion created by Shweta just to prove that I subjected her to domestic violence which is not true. I have never been a woman beater."
