'Lock Upp 2' Finale, Shreya Kalra Wins Ekta Kapoor's Netflix Show, Narrowly Defeats Shivangi Joshi

Ekta Kapoor's reality show, Lock Upp 2, has come to an end after a lot of fights, heartbreaks, laughter, backstabbing, and backbiting. The second season was full of controversies and shocking revelations, and with the grand finale, we have gotten the winner of the show, and it is not Shivangi Joshi, but Shreya Kalra. 

Shreya Kalra lifted the trophy of Lock Upp 2

Lock Upp 2, which streamed on Netflix, showed how the race to grab the trophy was extremely close as Shreya Kalra, Shivangi Joshi and Yogesh Rawat were the top three finalists. The trio faced the 'Janta ki Jury' round, where they had to go through agnipariksha and own up to their truth after 25 members of the jury grilled them with back-to-back questions. 

Shreya Kalra claimed the trophy. As per the votes from the host, former contestants, and special guests, Shreya secured the highest number of votes. However, Shivangi and Shreya had a close competition, as Shreya won by just seven votes. The second season of Lock Upp 2 was premiered on June 27, 2026, and it featured 15 contestants. 

They revealed three personal secrets and disclosed their hidden truths. The contestants had to undergo physical and mental challenges to stay in the show. Talking about Shreya, she rose to fame with MTV Roadies in 2020. She was part of Nikhil Chinapa's team and joined the show as a wildcard contestant. 

On Lock Upp 2, Shreya had a lot of arguments and fights. However, the biggest one was when she accused Ram Kapoor of making her uncomfortable by kissing and touching her without consent. She expressed her discomfort about the same openly, which irked Gautami as it hampered the actor's image outside.

Later, the next day, Gautami Kapoor defended Ram Kapoor and called him a 'man with all hearts'. She received a lot of backlash. After which, when Gautami entered the reality show, she folded her hands in front of Shreya and apologised to her. But the way she refered to Shreya quickly became a talking point for netizens. Gautami said:

"Mataji, agar koi galti ho gayi ho toh maaf kar dena. Agar inhone apko galat touch kiya hai, thooka hai aapke… toh main inke taraf se maafi maangti hoon. If I hug you, you are not going to say anything, right? To all the women, if Ram has made you uncomfortable, then I apologize on his behalf. He is like that only; I am not defending him. He is just like a teddy bear."

For the unversed, Shreya formed close bonds with Shilpa Shinde and Madhuri. She bared her heart to them after every intense argument and fight. Other participants on the show included Harshad Chopda, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Sunita Ahuja, Sufi Motiwala, Akanksha Chamola, Varun Yadava, Akanksha Choudhary, Pamala Serena, Ram Kapoor, Riyaz Aly and Shreshta Iyer. 

Netizens quickly expressed their opinion on Shreya Kalra lifting the trophy. One user wrote, "Look at Ritesh’s happiness omg, he can’t believe his life! Seems even happier than the winner." Another commented, "Shivangi ka naam change karo ab please." A third user penned, "Ritesh and Farah are so damn fond of Shreya; well deserved." Another wrote, "Reminds me of Sana Makbul from BB OTT3. Nobody is happy, neither the fellow contestants nor the audience."
