Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik is well-known for his immensely successful cricketing career. He is married to ace Indian tennis player, Sania Mirza, and the duo is proud parents to their baby boy, Izhaan Mirza Malik. For some time now, Shoaib and Sania are rumoured to have been separated from each other, but they never addressed any such ongoing speculations.
On December 23, 2023, Shoaib Ibrahim took to his IG handle and shared a series of pictures as his son, Izhaan won his first swimming competition. The doting father beamed with pride and penned a heartfelt note to express his emotions about his son's grand win. However, Sania Mirza was nowhere to be seen in the glimpses, and it's not clear if she was present at the competition or not. Shoaib's note can be read as:
"Baba is super proud of ya... First competition & a win."

On October 29, 2023, taking to his IG handle, Shoaib Malik gave a sneak peek into his and Sania Mirza's son, Izhaan's fifth birthday. For his special day, the little boy was dressed in a white-hued printed T-shirt teamed with green pants, while Shoaib looked dapper in an all-black outfit. We could also spot Sania in the background, but she refrained from posing with Shoaib. Izhaan cut a scrumptious yellow Sonic-themed cake and looked extremely happy in the pictures. Sharing the pictures, Shoaib penned:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY Beta... Baba loves you."
Earlier, as Shoaib Malik appeared on Fakhr e Alam’s show, AIK AUR CUP, the host asked the cricketer if he missed his son, Izhaan, as he travels a lot around the world due to his work commitments. To which, the Pakistani cricketer replied, "I miss him a lot". He further added how he manages to make up for it and ensures to video call Izhaan every day. In his words:
“I make sure I video call him every day. It’s very hard for him to sit in one place. Ye ek aisi age hai bacche ki jahan usko games khelni hai but he’s an intelligent kid and makes sure ki jo usko baat karni hai, you stick around that conversation, to woh phir aapse baat karta hai. Abhi jab main yahan aa raha tha for The Pavillion tab I had to explain to him why ‘Baba is going to Pakistan.’”

Sania Mirza tied the knot with Shoaib Malik, on April 12, 2010, and after almost 8 years of marital bliss, they were blessed with a son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, on October 30, 2018. For a long time, reports were abuzz that the couple is facing some issues in their happy paradise and they are allegedly divorced. While there has been an unending buzz on the internet regarding Sania and Shoaib's separation, no official confirmation has been made on the same by either of them.
