Shoaib Ibrahim On Leaving 'Sasural Simar Ka' At Its Peak, Sold His Car To Get His Ailing Dad Treated

In a recent interview, Shoaib Ibrahim recalled his struggles after leaving 'Sasural Simar Ka' at its peak and talked about the toughest phase of his life.

Shoaib Ibrahim On Leaving 'Sasural Simar Ka' At Its Peak, Sold His Car To Get His Ailing Dad Treated

Television actor, Shoaib Ibrahim is currently portraying the role of 'Rajveer' in the popular show, Ajooni. He has been receiving immense love from his fans and is elated by the beautiful response that his show has been getting. Meanwhile, on the personal front, Shoaib and his wife, Dipika Kakar are on cloud nine, as they are expecting their first baby together.

In a conversation with ETimes TV, Shoaib Ibrahim thanked his fans for their love and support and mentioned that Ajooni gave him the comeback that he always wished for.  When the actor was asked if he was scared before leaving Sasural Simar Ka when it was at its peak, he said that he had a few responsibilities to fulfil as the eldest son of his family. He said:

"Yes, I was scared when I was taking the decision of leaving Sasural Simar Ka, and for the next three years, I did not have any work. But I also believe that if you want to achieve something big in life, you have to take risks. I knew it was going to be a challenge as I had a family to look after, they were not here in Mumbai, my family was in Bhopal. But as I was the eldest son, there were a few responsibilities that I had to fulfill. I wanted to do everything for my family."

Shoaib Ibrahim on Dipika Kakar being his constant support

Leaving Sasural Simar Ka turned out to be a huge risk for Shoaib as he had no work for the next three years. But the actor did not give up and used that time to work on himself. Recalling his difficult time, Shoaib revealed how Dipika Kakar extended her support to him and added that they remained close friends even after he left the show. In his words:

"While I was working on the TV show SSK. I had made a few savings. Dipika was a close friend at that time and she was very supportive towards me. We had a strong bond even though I had quit the show. Slowly, I worked and groomed myself. In those three years I understood Mumbai and watched it very closely as I had not struggled before that. I had bagged.my first show Palkon Ki Chaaon Mein without much struggle. And I strongly feel till the time a person doesn't struggle in life, he or she will not value success."

Shoaib Ibrahim on selling his car for his father's treatment 

Recalling the toughest phase of his life, Shoaib Ibrahim revealed that he had to sell off his car for his father's treatment, who got severely ill. He also mentioned how people conned him and took money from him by luring him with an opportunity to get a job. Reflecting on the same, he said:

"Those three years were very difficult. I met so many people, good and bad, and went through lots of ups and downs. I remember my dad got unwell during that period and I had bought a car when I was earning and I had to sell that to get him treated as soon as possible. I met people who conned me, took money from me and all sorts of things happened to me, but I learnt a lot about this city in those three years. I understood the tricks and traits of the industry, and how to groom myself and after that, I bagged my next show 'Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai."

In the same interview, Shoaib also mentioned how his mother pawned her jewellery to help him reach Mumbai and become an actor. Talking about the same, he revealed that his mother sacrificed everything to make his dream become reality, and that's why he never hesitates to do anything for her. Shoaib also revealed that when he got his first paycheck of Rs. 70,000, he waited for 1.5 months to give it to his mother. And since then, he tries to spoil his mother with clothes, jewellery, and other things that she might or might not need.
