One of the famous and the most sanskari bahus from the small screen, Simar aka Dipika Kakar got hitched recently. All her fans went gaga over her vibrant pictures from such a desi wedding. The reason why we are calling it a desi wedding is that she tied the knot with long-time boyfriend and co-star Shoaib Ibrahim in his hometown, Bhopal. The two decided on forever and took the wedding vows on February 22, 2018. Not for their fans but for many industry people also, their wedding was a pleasant surprise.
With all those happy times and surprising elements as their wedding was complete filmi, there came controversies as well. Soon after their Nikah ceremony, Dipika’s Islam conversion speculations started doing the rounds. Well, all of that started when their wedding invite picture went viral and Dipika’s name was written Faiza on it. This was not well-received by people on social media. People started questioning her decision as to why she converted for the sake of marriage.
Soon after this, Dipika came out in open and defended herself. She even said that she is proud of what she has done. Dipika was quoted as saying, “Definitely, it is true and I am not denying it. I am very happy and proud that I have done it for myself and my happiness. My family was with me in this decision and my intentions were to hurt anyone. This is my decision.”
Ever since this has happened, the two of them have been trolled continuously. Shoaib, in an interview, supported Dipika and quoted, “Trust me, both of us are just not bothered about what people say. We know we haven’t done any wrong and so we don’t focus on this negativity. When there’s low in our lives, do these people come as a saviour? No, so who has given them the right to talk about us. Our marriage was so beautiful that some haters decided to pick a subject to demean it, but it really didn’t affect us.” The actor further stated that he is extremely happy with their marriage. He can’t wait to rush back home as soon as he is done with his work.
Recently, the two even took some unofficial wedding vows and set another trend for other couples. They posted a few pictures and took the vows in the caption. It read, “Some unofficial marriage vows!!! Smallest things are the most important. So here we promise each other we will do our duties and help each other in all the daily chores of every day!!! We will spread happiness in our lives and never let the friendship fade off. We will build a happy comfortable world for ourselves and stay happily ever after. #dodilmilrahehain #dodilmilgaye”
