Shilpa Shetty Kundra is the perfect example of an adorable mother. Despite her busy schedule, the gorgeous actress always makes sure to spend time with her children. It was on February 21, 2020, when Shilpa had surprised all her fans with the announcement of embracing motherhood for the second time via surrogacy as she had welcomed her little angel, Samisha Shetty Kundra. Shilpa, who is more of a friend to her 8-year-old son, Viaan Raj Kundra has been treating us with glimpses of their lockdown diaries. From farming to baking, we adore the mommy-son duo.
On August 4, 2020, Shilpa took to her IG handle and shared a goofy picture with her son, Viaan Raj Kundra. Along with the picture, she penned a note on how important it is to keep one’s inner child alive. Her note can be read as “Our youth is spent in shaping us for the life ahead... education, career, friendships, relationships, heartbreaks, and so much more. All of this - more or less - is common to most of us. But, as the years go by, we unlearn some things and learn some more. Maturity and pragmatism takes over our vulnerability and trust.”
Giving an example of how our childhood acts as an important tool for the latter years of life, she continued, “Our experiences are unique to each one of us and they make us who we become eventually. I truly believe that our childhood & youth are given to us as tools, to shape our latter years purely through our own decisions & learnings. While it’s important to be practical & wise, it’s also crucial to have that zeal & enthusiasm intact within. To be curious about something new and look at the world with a glint of hope in your eyes... is what makes life beautiful. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul... On the occasion of Mother's Day, Viaan had surprised his mom with a handwritten letter which is one of the most precious gifts for every mother. Shilpa Shetty Kundra had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a video with her son, Viaan Raj Kundra and daughter, Samisha Shetty Kundra with a clip of her son's letter. Alongside it, she had written a heart-melting caption that could be read as "Making the decision to have a child - it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” - Elizabeth Stone. To the two halves of my heart Viaan & Samisha: You both complete me. I love you! Thank you for choosing me. Happy Mother’s Day... to me and to all those amazing mothers out there."
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Shilpa had revealed details of her second child and had stated that she and Raj were trying for second child for five years. Shilpa had also stated that she always wanted to have a girl child and had revealed how she came up with the name, Samisha. Talking about the same, she had retorted, “I came up with it when I was 21.
