On February 21, 2020, Shilpa gave her fans the biggest surprise. She had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared with her fans the happy news. The actress had posted a glimpse of her baby's little hand and had written, "Om Shri Ganeshaya Namah! Our prayers have been answered with a miracle. With gratitude in our hearts, we are thrilled to announce the arrival of our little Angel, Samisha Shetty Kundra. Born: February 15, 2020. Junior SSK in the house! ‘Sa’ in Sanskrit is “to have”, and ‘Misha’ in Russian stands for “someone like God”. You personify this name - our Goddess Laxmi, and complete our family. Please bestow our angel with all your love and blessings Ecstatic parents: Raj and Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Overjoyed brother: Viaan Raj Kundra."
After almost a month, Shilpa is all set to take her baby girl home. Yes, on March 9, 2020, we got hold of Shilpa Shetty Kundra's pictures with her newborn daughter as she takes her home. Her husband, Raj Kundra and son, Viaan Raj Kundra also accompanied them. The family of four looked picture perfect as they posed for the shutterbugs. Shilpa donned a baby pink dress which was matching with her angel, Samisha's blanket. On the other hand, Raj and Viaan twinned in a white t-shirt. Take a look at their pictures below:
In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Shilpa had talked about her second child, and had said, "We had been trying for second child for five years. I had signed Nikamma and had committed my dates to Hungama when I got the news that in February, we were going to be parents again. We cleared our work schedules for the whole month." She had also opened up on her daughter's name, "I came up with it when I was 21. I had always prayed for a daughter." The entire Tinseltown has been sending her congratulatory messages and wishes. However, it was her sister, Shamita Shetty, who had posted an adorable note for her little niece. Shamita had written a cute note that could be read as "Welcome our beautiful little princess Samisha Shetty Kundra. My fellow Aquarian! About time !! We have waited for you for so long..Happy to the power of infinity!! Maasiii loves you. please send her all the love n blessings my Instafamily."
Coming back to Raj and Shilpa's love story, it was love at first sight for Raj and he had known that Shilpa was going to be his perfect life partner and he tried everything to woo her. The couple had first met in the year 2008 for a business meeting which grew into a 'forever-kind-of' partnership. However during the initial stages, Raj had kept denying the rumours, but when they had finally started dating, Shilpa was the first one to confirm that she has found her 'Mr Right'.
