Shilpa Shetty is one such actress, who celebrates every festival with her family. From hoisting a flag on Independence Day, burning negativity on holika dahana to decorating Christmas trees during the year-end, Shilpa never misses a chance to make her kids learn about the in-depth values of her religion and culture. However, she is also often trolled for her actions online. Now, as she hoisted the Indian flag, she was trolled for wearing shoes at that time. But she too, slammed the trollers by giving them a fact check.
Taking to her IG handle on August 15, 2023, Shilpa Shetty shared a beautiful video to mark the 77th Independence Day. In teh video, she was seen hoisting the flag along with her mother, Sunanda Shetty, her husband, Raj Kundra, and their kids. While Shilpa and her children, Viaan and Samisha, were twinning in white ensembles, Raj wore a green-hued kurta set. However, as soon as Shilpa posted the video, netizens started trolling her for wearing shoes while hoisting the flag. Check out some comments:

Soon, Shilpa reacted to the trolls and shared an IG story. She posted a screenshot of a Google search which read, "Q: Can we hoist Indian flag with shoes?" and the response below the question was, "The Flag Code of India does not prohibit hoisting the national flag while wearing shoes." Alongside it, Shilpa wrote atop it "#Facts" with an Indian flag sticker. She also slammed the netizens who trolled her for the same and pinned a comment of hers, which can be read as:
"I am aware of the “Rules” of conduct while hoisting the flag ,the RESPECT for my country and THE FLAG stems from my heart and not up for questioning . I am a proud Indian . Today’s post was to share and celebrate that emotion. To all the trollers( that I ignore usually )DO NOT appreciate YOU airing your ignorance and spreading negativity on this Day . So get your facts rights and please BACK OFF."
Shilpa often faces brutal trolling online. For instance, when we stumbled upon a picture of the mother-son duo from their exercise session, netizens mentioned that Shilpa's stunt with her son, Viaan was relatively easy. Taking to their Reddit handle, a user shared an adorable photo of Shilpa Shetty and her son, Viaan, wherein the gorgeous actress was seen lying on her yoga mat spread on the green grass of her lawn and holding her prince with her legs upright in the air. Moreover, Shilpa was also seen making faces towards Viaan with utmost ease while being clicked by someone. Indeed, the mother-son duo was seen enjoying their time to its fullest. While Shilpa wore a white knotted top paired with black pants, Viaan opted for a blue T-shirt paired with matching shorts.

However, as soon as the picture was posted on the social media site, netizens bared their hearts out and mentioned that it's quite an easy stunt.
