For parents, living away from their kids is one of the most difficult tasks in their lives. While sometimes it happens due to their work commitments, at other times, it's because of personal issues. No matter what the reason is, staying away from their little wonder of joy takes a toll on a parent's mind. Indian cricketer, Shikhar Dhawan is going through a similar phase in his life as he has not met his son, Zoravar Dhawan, for two years.
For the unversed, Shikhar Dhawan had got married to Aesha Mukerji on October 30, 2012. It was in 2014 when Shikhar and Aesha had welcomed their first child, Zoravar Dhawan, on December 26, 2014. Aesha also has two daughters from her first marriage, Rhea Dhawan and Aliyah Dhawan. Time and again, Shikhar has proved that he is not just an amazing husband but also a doting father.

A few moments back, Shikhar Dhawan took to his IG handle and shared a heart-melting video of himself with his son, Zoravar Dhawan. The video showed the father-son duo hugging each other tightly as they had met each other. The doting father also planted a kiss on his son's forehead, and it's too cute for words. Along with the video, Shikhar penned an emotional note revealing that he had not met Zoravar for two years and shared that he misses him. His note can be read as:
"Two long years since I met my son.. Uske saath khelna, usko gale lagaana, baatein karna.. bohot emotional moments hain ye..These are the moments jo humesha yaad rahenge.."
Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan was in the news because of his divorce from his wife, Aesha Mukerji. Apart from his excellent performance on the field, it was his love and dedication towards his wife, Aesha Mukerji, that melted our hearts. From their shared interest in sports to their love for tattoos, Shikhar Dhawan and Aesha Mukerji had found true love within each other, after they had connected through Facebook. Though the love story and camaraderie of this moustache swirling cricketer and the Bong beauty had swooned us, destiny had something else in store for them.

After enjoying marital bliss for 9 years, the duo had decided to part ways, breaking the hearts of their millions of fans. On September 6, 2021, Aesha Mukerji had taken to her Instagram handle to announce her separation from her cricketer-husband, Shikhar Dhawan. Sharing a selfie of herself, Aesha had stated how it felt to be a two-time divorcee. She had written:
"I thought divorce was a dirty word until I became a 2-time divorcee. Funny how words can have such powerful meanings and associations. I experienced this first-hand as a divorcee. The first time I went through a divorce I was soooooooo fu@kn scared. I felt like I had failed and I was doing something so wrong at that time."
Shikha and Aesha's wedding had made many headings as Aesha is ten years older than Shikhar. However, the duo had proved that age was just a number for them. Another reason their love story had gained a lot of attention from gossipmongers was that Aesha was a divorcee with two kids. Going further in her note, Aesha had concluded by sharing how her divorce had changed her situation. She had added,
"Well, once I went through the necessary actions and emotions of what had happened I was able to sit with myself and see that I was fine, I was actually doing great, even noticed my fear had totally disappeared. The remarkable thing is I actually felt much more empowered. I realised my fear and the meaning I gave to the word divorce was my own doing. So, once I realised this I started to redefine the word and the experience of divorce according to the way I wanted to see it and experience it."
For the unversed, Shikhar and Aesha had tied the knot in the year 2012.
