Shikha further added that she's in isolation and she's not met her daughter, Alayna, for 36 hours. She also added that she's pumping her milk for her daughter as her milk contains antibodies for her baby. Shikha wrote:

"It’s been 36hrs I haven’t seen or met @alaynasinghshah & my heart aches to hold her, smell her & be with her. But I know I have to control my emotions for her good & I shall. My struggles- obviously the body aches, headache, fever, cough & all on one side but the main struggle is cos i was still breastfeeding her, she misses that comfort of soothing while going to sleep. I'm pumping my milk & giving that to her as advised by our doctor as my milk will contain anti bodies for her (not a carrier of covid)."

Earlier, in an interview with The Times Of India, Shikha had talked about being pregnant amidst the pandemic. The actress had taken a break from her work to ensure the maximum safety of her unborn child. She had shared how she was keeping her sanity in the strange times and had said:

"When Karan and I were planning to go the family way, nobody thought that Corona would come upon us. I had informed the production house that I would be taking a break due to my pregnancy around April, and the production house also agreed to it, but now with COVID19, I have been on a break since March. My husband is a pilot and because of the lockdown, he is at home, otherwise, he would have been travelling. Currently, we are doing all the household chores by ourselves. My husband is a technology expert and has bought me a robot-like sweeping and mopping machine, which sweeps and cleans the floor completely on its own."
