Stemming from the Punjabi music industry, the diva gained massive fame and stardom with her stint in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 13. While she didn’t win the trophy, it was her all-throughout performance inside the BB House which won hearts. Fast forward to now, Shehnaaz has come a long way since and even made her film debut in 2023 with Salman Khan’s film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
Taking to the discussion portal, Reddit, an internet user dropped a throwback clip of Shehnaaz Gill that dated back to her stint in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 13. The diva could be seen carrying out a task as per the format of the show, where she roasted several co-contestants of her on-stage, amidst a live audience. Looking bubbly and her cheerful self, Shehnaaz gave a hearty introduction of herself, as well as mimicking several contestants. In one instant, she could be seen taking pride while saying:
“Salman sir ne na mujhe Punjab ki Katrina Kaif bol diya hai.”

As soon as the video was re-shared, eagle-eyed netizens took to the comment section and flooded it with their witty reactions. Well, a significant section of internet users found Shehnaaz’s performance nothing less than cringe and highlighted how she tried to appear pushy and uptight. While one user wrote, “Her actual impromptu comedy was quite fun but this was super cringe! Cringest stuff ever”, another netizen commented, “she was the OG among cringiest contestants of all time bb.”

Well, Shehnaaz Gill’s journey after BB 13 has definitely paved the way for some major evolution coming her way, as she has changed both personally and professionally. However, the highlights of it all has been her style statements. While earlier she was known as the bubbly girl next door from Punjab, she now sheds vibes of a pure fashionista with her sexy and bold fashion choices. Previously, in an interview with News18, Shehnaaz talked about the same and claimed that she wants people to perceive her just more than desi. In her words:
“People have a certain image of me wearing a certain kind of clothes. Since that has been broken, they’re in shock. They’ll take time to get used to this version of me. Acceptance takes time. It might take some time for them to understand that I can do things beyond looking just desi.”

Further in the same interview, Shehnaaz Gill revealed that despite all the online hate and trolling which frequently comes her way, she makes sure to read each and everyone of it. Talking about the reason behind it, the diva remarked that she wants to know how people perceive her at large. In her words:
“It’s important for me to know everyone’s opinion of me. I want to know what the world thinks of me and how they perceive me. So, I read every comment on my social media. It doesn’t affect me but teaches me a lot. It helps me come up with ideas on how to further trigger their negativity. I love doing the opposite of what people say. I love taking risks.”
