Shashank rose to fame with his show, Balika Vadhu in which he played the role of grown-up Jagya. His last show was Jaana Na Dil Se Door. The young actor turned 30 and his parents are on a lookout for the perfect bahu for their actor-son.
Talking about his last rishta meeting with a girl for an arranged marriage, Shashank said:
“I met this girl once and she was like ‘ask me whatever you want.’ I thought I should tell her everything about my life. So I told her that I work 13-14 hours a day and that there will also be times when I won’t have any work.”

He also told that girl about other problems like financial hiccups, link-up rumours, no work, and odd working hours. After listening to this truth, the girl and her family never called for another meeting. He was rejected by a girl in this arranged marriage meeting.
The actor is in a happy space right now, and is also in no hurry to settle down. But, his father is constantly on the lookout for the suitable bride for his boy. Talking about his father’s search, Shashank said:
“ He keeps meeting relatives for this and keeps talking about how needs to find a ladki for me. For me, age is not the only criteria. I am actor and I have a career graph, which I want to concentrate on.”
Shashank also revealed that earlier he had preconceived notions about marrying the girl from the same profession but not anymore. He said:
“I used to say that I will never marry someone from the industry. But now that I see Ravi (Dubey) and Sargun(Mehta), I feel that maybe actors find is easy to understand other actors. Life is full of surprises and I am open to this one.”
