A grand wedding ceremony was organised at the popular Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. The event was more than just a family get-together, as it witnessed the presence of popular faces from the world of politics, movies, and more.
Glimpses of the wedding ceremony have been going viral and are getting a lot of attention. Although a private ceremony was held at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai, people have been eager to know more about the Jodhpur ceremony.
Umaid Bhawan Palace turns into a fairytale venue
Jodhpur was chosen as the venue for a reason since the family wanted the wedding to feel timeless. The event started with the mehendi, and the bride and groom later entered the place in a horse-drawn carriage. Both Swaraa and Shashwat were greeted by the beats of traditional drums, and there were horses and camels outside the venue to welcome the guests in royal style.
Swaraa and Shashwat danced together during the ceremony, and Shailesh Singh Lodha was later spotted posing for a photoshoot with his daughter and his wife, Swati, wearing a traditional Jodhpur outfit.
The sangeet ceremony was organised at the ITC’s Welcome Hotel, and the red theme specifically grabbed a lot of attention. Veteran singer, Sudesh Bhosale, was invited to the event, and he performed on multiple hits from the ‘90s, with the Lodha family joining in. Videos featured Shailesh dancing with a lot of enthusiasm alongside Swaraa and the other guests.
The main wedding was held on July 6, 2026, at the Umaid Bhawan Palace. The décor was different for each venue, and the palace theme leaned into regal elegance with chandeliers, palace courtyards, and scenic spots used for family portraits.
Wedding guest list featured the names of political figures and other personalities
The guest list for Swaraa and Shashwat’s wedding was also star-studded. Bhajanlal Sharma, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, was also invited, as he attended the Sanskriti Swar program held at Taj Hari Mahal. Other political personalities that appeared at the event included Om Birla and Baba Ramdev, alongside Union Minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
But it was the presence of Vicky Kaushal that became a hot topic on the internet. The actor’s presence at the marriage ceremony made it feel like a crossover between a royal wedding and a film industry gathering. Many others from the entertainment industry attended the event, including Rakesh Bedi, Raza Murad, Manoj Muntashir, Gurdeep Mendi, and Krushna Abhishek.
As of this writing, Shailesh Lodha has not shared any pictures from the wedding. However, videos of personalities performing at the event have been going viral.
Swaraa is well-known as the co-author of the book, 54 Reasons Why Parents Suck. Compared to her father, Swaraa has preferred to maintain a low profile. Although she is active on Instagram with around 642 followers, she has set the account to private.
On the other hand, Shailesh Lodha has built a big fan base over the years for playing the lead role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He is also famous for hosting shows such as Waah Bai Waah. Apart from acting, he is the author of a few books and a recipient of Zee Gold Awards.
