In an interview, Rakesh spoke about the same and revealed that the trend of people suggesting each other’s names for marriage no longer exists, as nobody wants to take on the responsibility.

It was Rakesh’s maami and Aradhana’s maasi who came up with the alliance, as they were friends, and they suggested the match. Not just this, they even vouched for Rakesh and Aradhana as they felt they would make a good pair.

His elder daughter got married in 2022, and he experienced a very emotional moment. In an interview with The Times of India, Rakesh recalled the moment and said:

“After my daughter's wedding, she called me and said that her teddy bear was left back in our house, so she requested me to bring it back to Delhi for her. I took the teddy bear along and while I was on flight, I started recounting all those beautiful times... some lovely memories over the years with her. That brought tears in my eyes and even today while sharing this, I am teary- eyed."
