Shahid Kapoor is hitting all the headlines currently as just a few hours ago, his latest song, Laal Peeli Akhiyaan, was uploaded by the makers. The song is from his upcoming film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, co-starring Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The film is slated to star Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia along with them and is directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. However, as the film's first song was released, Shahid faced a bit of outrage on social media and was labelled as 'insecure' for wearing heeled shoes.
A few hours ago, a Reddit user shared the screengrab from Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's dancing video to the song, Laal Peeli Akhiyaan, from their upcoming film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. In the video, the duo simply rocked the dance floor by grooving to some of the most rocking hook steps and making their fans fall in love with them. While Kriti was dressed up in a blue-hued chiffon saree with a shimmery border paired with an embellished blouse, Shahid looked handsome in an all-black outfit.

However, eagle-eyed netizens spotted Shahid wearing heeled shoes, whereas Kriti was in flats. And as soon as the post was shared on Reddit with the caption, "Why am I solely focusing on Shahid's heels and not the song playing?", netizens started reacting to it hugely by comparing Shahid and Kriti's heights. While one netizen commented, "Kriti wearing flat shoes. Shahid obviously wearing higher heels to appear taller. Can’t blame him as kriti is tall", another user mentioned, "Even then Kriti was bending her knees so much." Moreover, some netizens also labelled Shahid as 'insecure'. One comment read as:
"Of course men can wear heels if they like. But we all know that Bollywood actors do it because they feel insecure with their height. They always want to be taller than the actress. It's not a fashion statement. I think that was the OP's point."

Well, this was not the first time, when Shahid Kapoor received social media flak. Earlier, one of his statements on marriages went wrong with the netizens. It was in an interview for the show, Spill The Tea with Sneha, when the actor revealed his take on marriage. For the unversed, he is married to a Delhi-based girl, Mira Rajput Kapoor. In the interview, the actor spoke about how a woman fixes a messed-up man and said:
“It is just one thing and is that the guy was a mess and the woman came into fix him. So the rest of his life is going to be a journey of being fixed and becoming you know, just a decent person. That’s pretty much what life is about.”

As soon as Shahid Kapoor’s video was posted on social media, netizens started posting mean comments about the actor for his take on marriage. While some labelled him as a manchild, others called him a misogynist. One netizen wrote, “So raising a manchild, is what marriage is ??? Amazing.” Another mentioned, “So women are marrying projects and not partners?”
