Soon-to-be mommy, Mira Rajput Kapoor wasn't wrong when she said in an interview, "Shahid is an extremely loving and supportive husband. It comes naturally to him." Shahid took Mira for a romantic dinner date at a restaurant in Juhu, Mumbai last night (i.e. August 31, 2018) and the way he held her hand while they walked their way back to the car, was the most adorable to see. Shahid, who is all set to embrace fatherhood for the second time, is juggling between the promotions of his film, Batti Gul Meter Chalu and preparations for his forthcoming Hindi remake of Telugu hit film, Arjun Reddy. Shahid manages pretty well to take out some time for his family in-between his professional commitments.
Talking about his paternity leaves to Mid-Day, Shahid Kapoor stated, "During Misha's birth [in 2016], I took a couple of months off. This time too, I was negotiating to take a month-long break, but things didn't work out. I will get only a week off from work. It is too short a duration, but such are the circumstances." He further said, "I am self-employed, so I think I have more freedom [to take leaves as per my convenience]. If I don't want to work for a certain period, I can do that. Speaking about balancing his personal and professional commitments, Ishq Vishk boy-next-door actor shared, "I have been working since I was 15. My mother [Neelima Azim] was a single parent and I was the eldest kid. So, my thought process was that I had to earn money. But over time, I have also realised that it's important to enjoy life. You have to be honest to your work, and at the same time, meet the needs of your family. That's why, now, I do only one film at a time."
Mira and Shahid leave no chance to flaunt their public display affection, and their fans can’t stop gushing over the romantic pictures of them. Mira shared a lovestruck picture with her man, where she is cuddling him tightly. She kept her caption simple with a kiss smiley, but it did speak a thousand words. Mira’s comments section is flooded with remarks like, "Made for each other", "Cutest couple", "love birds" and many more.
Speaking about his excitement of becoming a father for the second time, Shahid shared, "Of course! Having a child is the most amazing feeling. And we are fortunate that we are having a second one so soon, so [I am] feel happy and blessed about that. Family is always a big reason to work even harder. When you come back home to your family [after work], it’s a great feeling." He further continued about the responsibility being doubled, "I don’t think so. It’s just that you have to do whatever is required [as parents]. In fact, I am nervous because I have Batti Gul’s release coming up in September and the baby is due around the same time. That’s why I have to dedicate my time correctly to both the things and hopefully I will be able to manage it well."
