Shahid Kapoor is one of the finest actors of his generation in Bollywood. Much like his talented parents, Pankaj Kapoor and Neeliima Azeem, the actor has time and again proven his acting prowess and versatility. From romantic lover-boy portrayals to manly roles, Shahid has won hearts for all the roles which he has essayed. Currently, the actor is busy promoting his upcoming film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.
Taking to the discussion portal, Reddit, an internet user shared a clip of Shahid Kapoor, as he promoted his upcoming film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with his co-star, Kriti Sanon. The actors interacted with a young, college-going fan, who asked them to shed some advice to him, as he desired to pursue acting. While Kriti responded by asking the fan to never to fall short on hardwork, it was Shahid’s slightly rude yet well-thought answer which grabbed attention. Reacting to the kid’s claim of seeing movies to learn acting, Shahid responded as:
“Why do you want to be an actor? What do you actually do to learn acting? Like you just watch movies? That’s the observation part of it. To execute it, what are you doing? Learn acting and all kya hai? Okay, so I think you are in a phase where you are discovering, something that you are infatuated by, or that you really really enjoy. But that’s, you love that. Are you good enough for that? You have to work very hard to answer that question. Its very easy to see something and say that you know, I can be better than this. When you actually go out and do it, its happened with me. Learn to work very very hard.”

Well, the video of Shahid’s conversation with the young fan has gone massively viral in no time, and netizens have rushed to the comment section to express their views. Well, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that a strong section of internet users agreed with Shahid’s advise and applauded him for making the fan understand the reality of situations with so much clarity. However, a few others also commented that the same revelation could have been conveyed in a slightly casual way. While one netizen commented as, “One of the things I like about Shahid, apart from his brilliant acting of course, is his unabashed honesty”, another internet user penned, “Still, he could've gone a litttttle easy on the kid. Say it a lil more softly, no need to grill him & make him feel stupid.”

Apart from being a top-notch actor, Shahid Kapoor is an excellent dancer, who has led fans dance to the beats of his peppy songs. Previously, in an interaction with India Today, Shahid Kapoor traced the beginnings of his dancing journey and stated that initially, he was just a usual 15-year-old boy, who loved to dance in the corner of the room. In his words:
“I was like a regular 15-year-old. I was very shy. Didn't have guts. I always used to dance in one corner at every party. It was my mom who noticed my love for dance. She was a classical dancer. She put me in Shiamak Davar class. She told me to be confident in whatever I love to do.''

In one of his other interviews with Bollywood Hungama, Shahid Kapoor had talked about being considered the ‘chocolate boy’ back during the early phase of his career. He clearly mentioned not really liking the term, and emphasised how he always wanted people to focus on his work and not looks. He mentioned:
“When I did Ishq Vishk, the word that was associated with me was ‘chocolate boy.’ I felt extremely bad, I wondered what did that even mean, ye chocolate boy hota kya hai? I am an artiste, I want to express, I am not here only for visual gratification. Looking good, dressing well etc are just one layer, then you have to dig deep and I started doing just that. I completely changed myself, I didn’t want to be clean shaven and do the same thing. That became exciting for me."
