Even without a social media account, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor’s tiny tot, Misha Kapoor has massive fan-following than her star father. Misha has given us innumerous reasons to swoon over her cuteness and innocence and she has the magic to spread love everywhere she goes. It seems like yesterday when Shahid shared the first glimpse of his daughter on his social media handle, and ever since, he has been delighting his fans with regular doses of Misha’s cuteness! We have witnessed the lovely relationship between this father-daughter duo through pictures and videos, which proves that Misha is her father, Shahid’s laadli beti. Shahid is on cloud nine right now, personally as well as professionally. With the arrival of their baby boy, Zain Kapoor, Shahid and Mira are living the best phase of their lives with their two munchkins.
Recently, Shahid appeared on the podcast, Take 2 with Anupama and Rajeev, and was asked which movie is he looking forward to watch with his two-year-old daughter, Misha. To which Shahid replied, "Only cartoons nursery rhymes and all yaar. Something for her some really great animation film or sound of music or something maybe like you know West Side Story or which is exciting for her as a child to watch because you know you like those kind of things at that age so I rediscover that with her you know rather than giving us something I like really not my idea of watching a movie with my daughter or whatever she likes and learning to enjoyed with her you know."
In a throwback interview with Filmfare, Shahid shared how coming back to Misha and Mira at home makes him happy. He had stated, "The one thing that puts a smile on my face regardless of what has happened in the day is my daughter Misha. Seeing my wife Mira and daughter after I come back makes me happy." Adding further, he said, "I try to read bedtime stories to Misha. We sing nursery rhymes together."
When asked about the most special moment with Misha, in the same interview, Shahid was quoted as saying, "It's difficult to choose one moment with your child. Every day is etched in my mind when I am around her. Every time she notices me and she calls me papa, it's very special." Sharing feelings about embracing fatherhood, Shahid had said in another interview, “Being a first-time father has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Misha is a wonderful package of positive energy. Misha is a source of positivity for me. In an interview with DNA, Shahid shared how he loves to jump around like a puppy to entertain Misha. He revealed, “I am always trying to entertain Misha and I am down on my hands and knees all the time. I think I have become goofier after having my baby. I am doing more stupid things. I am trying to get her attention all the time. Just like a puppy who jumps around to get your attention."
He went on to say, “I also like being home more now. That is one of the biggest changes in me. That’s not something I used to like doing before. I was not a morning person. But because Misha wakes up early, I also try and get up by that time to be with her. This was not me. I would always spend like 20 minutes after waking up to get up. Getting my coffee, reading the papers and then being grumpy for some time, going for a shower and then waking up. Now, that’s not the case. I am wide awake. So yeah, it brought about many changes.”
Reminiscing about enjoying the initial days with Misha, he recalled, “I change her diapers, I give her bottle feeds. I fed her first solids. I enjoy hanging with her when she moves in the walker. I like looking at her when she rolls around. In fact, I mimic her funny sounds rather than teach her words. So that she feel's we're sharing a conversation."
