A similar thing happened when, during an interview, the host tried to take a dig at his height, but Shahid, being Shahid, unapologetically expressed that there is nothing wrong with wanting to be tall.

Recently, a similar thing happened with Shahid Kapoor, who gracefully tackled the situation. A Reddit user shared a video of his interview, wherein he was asked about his height. The actor quipped that he is 5'9, but everyone thinks he is 5'7. He was quoted as saying:
"I'm 5'9 but people think I am 5'7... I don't know why. Everyone thinks I am 5'7, everywhere I google 5'7. I am like I am not 5'7."

Shahid further admitted that after he wears his Balenciaga he is 5'11, and said, "Why do you think I am wearing them." The interviewer quickly said, "To fool all the people." Shahid assertively stated a no, and he was being honest. To which, the host said, "Haan, toh 2 inches higher na you wanna be?" Shahid gracefully moulded the situation in his way and replied:
"Toh women want to be six inches higher."
As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens flooded the comments section. One user quipped, "Inner Kabir singh came out at "women want to be 6inch higher"." Another netizen commented, "You know? we shame men for something so shallow and then we’re the first ones to point out when men are insecure of their height!" One user also noticed Shahid being uncomfortable and wrote, "He feels sooo uncomfortable hahahahaha his body language. He isn’t 5’9!"
A few weeks ago, a Redditor shared the screenshot from Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's song video, Laal Peeli Akhiyaan, from their upcoming film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. In the clip, Shahid and Kriti showed off their dance moves and won hearts with their relaxed chemistry. While Kriti looked stunning in a chiffon saree; Shahid looked dapper in a black ensemble.
However, apart from their dance moves, netizens noticed Shahid's shoes, which had a huge heel. Another interesting part about the video was that Kriti was seen donning flats. It was enough for netizens to troll the actor. One user had written, "Kriti wearing flat shoes. Shahid obviously wearing higher heels to appear taller. Can’t blame him as kriti is tall." Another commented, "Even then Kriti was bending her knees so much."
