Shaheen Bhatt is a screenwriter and daughter of filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt and his actress-wife, Soni Razdan. Despite belonging to one of the most popular families of Bollywood, Shaheen prefers to stay away from the glamour world. However, she shares a great bond with her sister, Alia Bhatt. As Alia is expecting her first child with actor, Ranbir Kapoor, Shaheen is quite thrilled to become a maasi soon.
For the unversed, On June 27, 2022, Alia Bhatt had announced her pregnancy news by sharing cutesy pictures on her Instagram handle. On the same day, the maasi-to-be, Shaheen had, also taken to her IG handle and shared an adorable picture of the parents-to-be, Ranbir and Alia. In the pictures, we could see Alia and Ranbir's infinite love as they held each other in the midst of a forest. The love was clearly visible in the candid click. Atop it, Shaheen had written, "Mom and dad."

Ever since, Alia Bhatt shared her pregnancy news, people have been trolling her for taking such a life-altering decision at the peak of her career. She even received hate on social media, as many speculated that Alia was pregnant before marriage. Now, the doting sister, Shaheen Bhatt opened up about the same. In an interview with News18, Shaheen said that she would not speak for Alia. She even mentioned that negative comments will always be there and one cannot please everyone. In her words:
"I will not speak for her because that is her own journey. Anything that she has dealt with internally is completely her journey. Having said that, you can never really please everybody. There is always going to be a negative comment or two out there. And I think living in the public eye, we are all very practiced at knowing what to pay heed to and what not to focus on."
In the same interview, Shaheen even expressed her happiness over becoming a maasi. She revealed that the whole Bhatt family is excited to meet the new member of the clan. Shaheen even said that this year had been great for the family. Elaborating on the same, Shaheen mentioned:
"Alia is the first among us, siblings, who will be welcoming a baby. There is a vibe of extreme nervousness and excited anticipation. We are waiting to meet the new member of our family. It has been a wonderful year for our family in that sense. It has grown tremendously this past year. There is only more joy and happiness to come our way and I am looking forward to that."

Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt are really close to each other and they never miss an opportunity to spend some time together. On October 9, 2022, Alia had taken to her Instagram handle and posted cutesy IG stories. In the first picture, we could see Alia's hand holding half-eaten pani puri. Atop it, she had written, "Power of Panipuri." In the next picture, a glimpse of a plate full of lip-smacking chaat, which Alia Bhatt was enjoying with her sister, Shaheen Bhatt could be seen. Alongside it, the mommy-to-be had mentioned:
"Chaat day with @shaheeb. Best day."
