Like sugar and spice, siblings know how to make life extra nice or extra salty (depending upon the circumstances)! They can be our superheroes to villains of our story, despite it, we cannot even think of living without each other. After all, there is no greater blessing to share a bond with someone, who has literally seen us grow up and know all our weak points and secrets. Siblings teach us valuable life lessons in the hardest way. And an exactly similar bond is shared between Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt and her sister, Shaheen Bhatt. The Bhatt sisters - Alia and Shaheen share a bond that can never be described in mere words. There was a point in Shaheen's life when she was struggling with depression. However, she never showed it to her baby sister, Alia, and have always been there for her. When Alia came to know about it, she was shell-shocked and it showed in her open letter which she had penned for her big sister, Shaheen. The two often share adorable messages for each other.
On April 10, 2020, Shaheen took to her Instagram handle and shared an adorable childhood picture with her sister, Alia. In the picture, we can see the two gorgeous girls laughing out loud. Alongside it, Shaheen wrote a cute note that can be read as "Even crumpled up newspaper is fun with the right person. Happy World Sibling Day, sibling." Take a look at it below:
Shaheen also shared a couple of pictures with her half-siblings, Pooja Bhatt and Rahul Bhatt and captioned it as "Siblings", followed by a heart emoji.
In an interview with Vogue, Shaheen had talked about Alia and the relationship they share. She had said, "She has always been really understanding to what I have been through. She was always that bridge between mum and me. When I was younger, mum would be banging on my door, and Alia would say, just leave her alone. She was always my lawyer, and that persists through this day. She always tells people to lay off me when needed." The Raazi star had also posted an emotional video, wherein, Alia had talked about her sister’s book. In the video, Alia had shared , “When I come home after a long day at work or I am just sulking because of life, just one look at your older but still sparkling brown eyes just lights up my heart like you can’t imagine. When I read your very first book, a book that you have written with so much ease and honesty, while I struggle to write one letter to you. I feel awful. I feel terrible because despite living with you for 25 years, I have never really understood your silent moments of depression. I never recognised a snappy moment as something much bigger."
She had further added, "Every time you refused to go out for dinner, I would think she rather sit at home and watch TV, be alone, not that you couldn’t bring yourself to get out of bed. Today you have connected to me on a basic, human level. And you have taught me so much more about life. I know you hate the fact that we all are saying sorry to you, but take the apology because even though we love you, I don’t think we understood what you were going through, to this extent."
