However, he broke this rule for Katrina Kaif.
Shah Rukh Khan always considered kissing on camera weird. However, he broke the rule in his 40s for none other than Yash Chopra's film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan. During an event in 2012, Shah Rukh Khan revealed why he agreed to share a kiss on-screen, despite not favouring it. The superstar shared that he was extremely awkward, but then they forced me, and even paid me for it. He was quoted as saying:
"I will be very honest. Adi, Yash ji and Katrina, and I say this with all humility and thankfulness to them, that they knew I was awkward, I had issues and I am a very easy actor to work with. They are like my family, and they said, 'You don’t have to do this' and then they got together, and they forced me and then even paid me for it."

Shah Rukh further added that kissing scenes are mechanical, as too many people around you and they tell you what to do, and it becomes awkward. He was quoted as saying:
"It is very mechanical with 100 people telling you what to do. It’s very odd. I don’t even do photoshoots with heroines if it is not for my film, and that is also rude, but I don’t want to waste anyone’s time. I find it very awkward to take my shirt off and pose. I can do it in character for the film."
In a meida interaction, Shah Rukh admitted that he doesn't kiss on camera as he doesn't know how to do it. He further added that whenever he listens to her film's narration, he always tell them that he will not ride a horse, and would not kiss. He had said:
"I feel discomfort in doing two things for films. When anyone comes to narrate a story to me, I tell them two things – main ghoda nahin chalaunga aur main choomunga nahin (I won’t ride a horse and I won’t kiss)."
Reportedly, Shah Rukh and Priyanka got closed during the shooting of the series, Don. They were spotted hanging out in nightclubs, parties and events. Recently, we stumbled upon a video of Shah Rukh Khan addressing the question of his alleged affair with Priyanka Chopra and leaving his fans hurt as they always considered him one woman's man.
In the video, Shah Rukh Khan, who was sitting with Katrina Kaif, answered the question and said that it is disturbing for him as the lady who has worked with him got questioned and not shown the respect he shows her. He was quoted as saying:
"To me, what is most disturbing is the fact that a lady who's worked with me has been questioned, and somewhere down the line, she's not being shown the kind of respect I show her or all the women. I think it’s a little disrespectful."
