Seema Sajdeh Spoke About Her Equation With Ex-Husband Sohail Khan Post Split, 'No Divorce Is Easy..'

Actor, director and producer, Sohail Khan and his designer wife, Seema Khan parted ways and filed for divorce in 2022. However, the two share a cordial bond with each other despite their divorce and have been co-parenting their children. Now, Seema has opened up about her current equation with Sohail after their divorce.

Seema Sajdeh reveals divorce is not easy as she reflects on her split from Sohail Khan

In a recent interaction with Filmibeat, Seema Sajdeh spoke about her equation with Sohail Khan after their divorce. She revealed that despite the divorce and the initial bitterness, she will always share a close bond with Sohail because he has been an important part of her life. Revealing how divorces are difficult, Seema shared:

“So people just assume that when you get divorced, you have to be enemies. Hello? No divorce is easy. Everybody goes through the five stages of grief. Anger is a part of it, but eventually everybody finds their way back. I find it very strange when people say, arey they are together, are nice to each other. What should I do? Take a knife and stab him? Sohail and I are absolutely fine.

Seema Sajdeh got married to Sohail Khan at a very young age

Seema Sajdeh was just 22 when she eloped with Sohail Khan and got married to him. As they grew old together, the duo decided that they were better off as friends. It was reported that when Seema and Sohail realised that their thoughts have changed, they decided it was better to split rather than fighting every day. Soon the couple took the decision and parted ways mutually.

It was the day of the release of his film, Jab Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, that Sohail and Seema tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony in a temple. After two years of marital bliss, Sohail and Seema were blessed with their first child, Nirvan, in 2000. And in June 2011, the couple had embraced parenthood and welcomed their second son, Yohan, through surrogacy. When Seema appeared on Shivani Pau's A Millennial Mind podcast, she revealed that seeing Sohail with other beautiful women made her a bit insecure, and then there was constant social pressure on her.

During the same candid chat, Seema Sajdeh revealed that she was depressed after her divorce with Sohail Khan and her children might have also gone through it. Seema further stated that she and Sohail had waited for a long time to part ways as they wanted the best for their children. Revealing what lessons did she learn from her divorce, Seema shared:

“I was scared of being lonely. I didn’t know anything about mobile bills, banking or finances. Earlier, my father handled these things and after marriage, Sohail did. Suddenly, I had to learn about life insurance, medical insurance, everything. Divorce taught me time management as we both get equal time with our kids."

It was during the third season of the reality show, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives that Seema revealed that she had found love again after her divorce from actor Sohail Khan. It was at that time when Seema introduced Vikram Ahuja and left everyone surprised. Not many know that Seema and Vikram were engaged in the early 1990s and were supposed to get married. But their relationship didn't last long, and Seema broke her engagement with Vikram to marry Sohail.
