The person behind Kareena Kapoor’s toned and flexible body, is none other than the renowned celebrity yoga trainer, Payal Gidwani Tiwari. The actress is thankful to her for getting her into perfect shape, "Payal has helped me challenge my genes and transform my body," she stated. She is the reason why Kareena is still in love with Yoga. But in the beginning, Kareena was not a yoga fan. In fact, she left yoga after practising it for a month. But, she came back soon, and has been dedicated since then. "Initially when I started yoga classes, I couldn't lift my feet up above the ground. Payal told me that my thighs are bulky, and I need to tone them down. But now I can throw my feet above my head," said the actress during the launch of a yoga book by Payal Gidwani Tiwari.

Being a big yoga fan, the star makes it a point to devote at least two hours to yoga every day, no matter how busy she is. She loves to perform power yoga with surya namaskar and ashtanga yoga. The actress is a self-confessed foodie, and loves to eat simple Indian home food. She even once stated, "I can't live without food. I love food as much as I love movies. Breakfast: It usually comprises of upma or paranthas, muesli, and idlis. She snacks on a brown bread sandwich in between.
Lunch: It is generally the usual roti, dal, and vegetables.
Dinner: At night she usually has dal, vegetables, and curd with roti or brown rice.
She makes sure to munch small meals after every 2-3 hours, and makes it a point to drink at least 6-8 glasses of boiled water every day.
