On November 13, 2018, Saumya announced on her Instagram handle about her pregnancy and managed to surprise all her followers with her mini-baby bump pictures. Saumya captioned the pictures as, "Woke up feeling like a magician today, feel like a superhero without a cape most days now, filled with blessing and godliness. Constantly excited by the buzzing in my head and the sudden pump of hormones; this promises to be a fascinating ride. The big news-I'm PREGNANT and trying to soak in every moment of it! On November 14, 2018, Saumya shared another picture with her baby bump, radiating the pregnancy glow in her copper-brown maternity dress. She captioned it as, “Feeling beautiful! Thanks, @sachin113photographer for capturing this moment. Looks like a painting. #pregnant Thanks @shraddha.naik”.
Later when The Times Of India contacted the actress, who is on cloud nine and all set to embrace motherhood, she talked about her pregnancy. Saumya stated, "I am glad to declare I am pregnant. There has been a lot of speculation about that since a long time. Probably the news came before I even planned it. Things just fell into place and I am glad that I am going to have a baby. When asked if she is planning to work post pregnancy and raise the bar for expecting mothers, Saumya shared, "I know there will be a lot of questions about my work plan, but there is a place and right time for those answers, right now it is about celebrating and taking all your good wishes for me. Of course, I plan to continue working and acting as long as I live. Hate to give this explanation though, I don’t think being a mother makes any woman hold back her passion, dream or work, it only empowers her more. What I can assure everyone is that I will keep on trying to the raise the bar for myself and hopefully to not disappoint the viewers with my work.”
Saumya Tandon tied the knot with her long-term beau, Saurabh Devendra Singh in an intimate affair in Mumbai. But just like she prefers, Saumya kept her wedding under the wraps and refused to comment on the same even after her wedding. When Bombay Times contacted her, she didn’t confirm her wedding stating that her personal life shouldn’t be a hot topic for people’s tittle-tattle.
Saumya was quoted as saying, “I have no comments. I don’t want my life to be a question-answer session for people. What I do in my personal life is not for people to know. The minute I open up about my personal life, it will have a snowball effect; the world will demand to know even the minutest details. I can’t let my private matters become a public spectacle.”
A few months ago, there were rumours that Saumya had left the show, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai because she is two months pregnant. However, Deepika took to Twitter to refute such conjectures, and tweeted, “Hey thanks for the concern, I had a liver infection so was on a leave for a week, have been shooting in Naigaon for Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain since 3 days”.
